Udara Bali

You are being totally immersed to the environment they have created, trying to reconnect with nature and earth. I would have preferred if the room were a bit more secluded from the activities part, and a little less immersive, the outside bathroom is really not my thing (but that’s personal), but to be honest after a few days I got attached thanks to the staff, they are all so smiling, welcoming and helpful. The service was exceptional, so big shoutout to the team. No amenity? I mean, not even a tissue box. Towels were quite yellowish or black, very used.

Everything was absolutely amazing! Udara Bali is not only a hotel but a place to rediscover and transform yourself physically, mentally and emotionally. Great and healthy food, massages or treatments everyday, and a huge choice of yoga classes, sound healings, breath work sessions, all included in the retreat package, best deal I have ever had and the most magical place I’ve ever stayed at. Bali typical open bathrooms there were flooded during thunderstorms.

The staff are so welcoming and kind. The classes are brilliant and there’s a large selection to choose from lots of activities. Also food was amazing and they were very generous with all inclusive. If I had to critic anything it would be my room it was very dark and I didn’t settle well in there it was too big for me.

From the moment you step onto the property, you can feel the thought and care that has gone into every detail. This isn’t just a spa—it’s a place where real change happens, and you leave feeling completely refreshed and energized.

Beautiful, serene, excellent retreat center. Yoga and meditation galore. Delicious food included. Daily massage is heaven. I loved my time here. I plan to return as soon as possible. It is perfect.

The pool and wellness programmes and the proximity to the beach. Love the sound healing sessions. Wonderful sound healers. Sunday festival was fun. Great food and nice that there is communal tables as well as space to be on our own. Warm and friendly staff made me feel very much at home. I would return again and again. Mozzies.. then again, we would find them in most places in Bali.

There’s many things included in the price, dining, yoga, and even massage. Location is amazing for few days spiritual escape. Magical atmosphere Make sure you are ok that regular rooms are really dark, and you must need to use the light while day otherwise your only big windows are facing the “inside” of hotel so everyone sees what you doing.

The open-air property. All meals, laundry service, friendly staff, constant cleaning, open-air bathroom. The beds. Way too stiff. Some of the accessibility was difficult, I wish the walkways were a little more stable.

Lovely ambience and well maintained

The food was of excellent quality . The facilities are unusual , unique , but exactly what we needed for a retreat. It is very safe . I wish I had stayed longer ! This is a constructive build as I truly loved my stay . The food and staff are exceptional . The facilities can offer organised tours and cultural activities such as cooking classes as part of their retreat packages .

The staff were friendly and very helpful - always able to answer my questions. The yoga classes were good, and I really liked the yoga spaces with a sea view. The breathwork class was amazing - definitely the highlight for me. The two pools at different temperatures, as well as the sauna and cold plunge pool. Free laundry and free one-way airport transfer. The whole place was too cramped and crowded. I arrived on the Sunday and it was really busy due to the special event they have. It was too noisy with too many people which made it impossible to relax. My room was downstairs next to the reception area, which meant I could hear everyone's conversations from the restaurant. The layout was also very strange, with the rooms overlooking the corridor. This meant I had to keep my curtains closed the whole time as people could see right into my room, which was already very dark - it has no natural sunlight. People often stopped outside my room to have conversations. The room also had a damp smell to it. Everything just felt too close together and on top of each other. The area around the pools was also laid out very strangely, you had to clamber over slippery rocks to get to the pool and then between the sauna and plunge pool - this would definitely not be suitable for people with any kind of mobility issues. I was woken up early in the morning by people in the rooms above moving around. The food in the restaurant was average at best. Then the worst part was all of the construction work going on. Taking part in a yoga class while listening to lots of noisy construction work is not enjoyable. The classes were good, but it was mostly aerial yoga - more variety needed. The aerial yoga class was also pretty much the same the next day- it would be good to list the instructors so you can try someone different. I would not stay here again. If I wanted to do yoga I would stay somewhere else and attend Udara for a pay as you go class.
