La Singulière

A really stunning property, in a beautiful setting. Very comfortable rooms and beds and gorgeous pool to relax in. Sophie was an excellent host and provided us with delicious breakfast with varying fresh fruit salad every morning, along with croissants, baquette, ham and cheese etc. Guests should be aware that a car is needed to get to the property...we did walk once into town but it is a very steep incline on the way back!

We have a wonderful stay at Sophie’s place! I didn’t realize it is a guest house until we get there, Sophie was super welcoming and pay attention to details, rooms are clean, view and the pool are fantastic, breakfast is exceptional but feel at home. I’d def recommend this place, it was one of the best stay for our two weeks Europe trip

Very lovely location in the pine forest - you must do the short walk to the restaurant up there, its such a nice spot to eat (service hit and miss but still worth going). Sophie was delightful and on hand to give all the information you could possibly need and book restaurants for you. The breakfast was very good, different fresh fruit salad every day and nice selection of preserves, bread and cheese and bottomless coffee. Wonderful views and we had a nice terrace to see them from. Happy to be able to park the car there and it was easy to get an Uber to the harbour. We walked through the pine forest to the beach clubs but got a taxi back! We couldn't really use the pool because it was full of pine needles and wasps. There had been bad weather before we arrived which may explain it but it was a shame as it is so pretty. Keeping a net by the pool so guests could sweep some of them out themselves would be handy. I recommend leaving one small bottle of water in the room per person per day rather than one to share.

Great hosts, gave us lots of recommendations and helped us with bookings. The hotel vibe was so relaxing and the breakfast was amazing! We were gutted there was not availability for us to stay longer.

Sophie is a wonderful host to her property. the rooms are spacious, some with nice views. breakfast plentiful and located out of town is nice and peaceful. couldn’t stay longer.

Just a great spot for relaxing. Great pool, delicious breakfast. Smart place but also very chilled atmosphere. This was not a surprise at all but the 30 minute walk up and down the steep hills to the town was tiring but also a good way to partially west off the delicious French food we ate throughout our stay!

Stunning location and exceptional staff

What a beautiful and gracious small inn at the top of the town. The hosts were exactly what one would want--helpful without being intrusive. The small touches everywhere made me comfortable and happy. The pool was gorgeous, the outside terrace an oasis. And the massages! Oh my goodness what a delicious and restorative experience! I can't think of an improvement.

We had a wonderful stay at La Singuliere. The combination of lovely setting of the hotel, proximity to the town and the gracious and welcoming hosts made our stay memorable. Sophie recommended an excellent restaurant and made reservations for us and provided great driving and parking instructions. Our breakfast was amazing - beautifully presented and delicious selections. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Superb

La Singulière is a small oasis in Sète. The rooms are very lovingly and individually decorated and you immediately feel at home. Everything is clean and is also cleaned regularly during the stay. A special highlight is the area around the pool, where also the small but fine breakfast is served. From there you can enjoy a beautiful view over the area. I would especially like to highlight the incredibly warm hosts, who really go out of their way to make you feel welcome immediately and have a great stay. We can really fully recommend this B&B to everybody. It has nothing to do with La Singulière or the hosts, but is an important note for anyone who wants to vacation there: The B&B is located on a very steep hill with narrow streets. The bus runs only twice an hour, which means a car is an advantage - even if you want to go out for dinner in the evening.

Great location on Mont St Clair with easy access to the town of Sete by car and nice walks in the pine forest at the top of the hill. Beautiful views across the lagoon from the shaded garden and pool area and Sophie and Guillaume are excellent hosts with lots of great recommendations for the area. The villa is not really walkable from the centre of Sete and buses are infrequent so taxi or car is needed
