Hotel Laitau

No top sheet on the beds, only duvets

The hotel was great for a night's stay. We chose Setubal for its proximity to Lisbon from where we were to fly home. The room was comfortable and felt spacious. The parking area is right at the corner of a busy T-intersection and seemed full when we first arrived. We had to circle around a few times before figuring out how to enter and park.

I liked how children friendly it was. They had an egg hunt for Easter planned for us! Very nice!

Clean and comfortable

Staff were very friendly. I travel with my dog and there was no dog fee. A variety of breakfast items are available until 10:30 and there's even a section of the breakfast area available for people with dogs! There's free parking on site. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was tight but only because a couple of people with gigantic commercial trucks took up half of the parking lot. Another day a giant tour bus took up half of the parking lot. However parking was free so I can't really complain.

the room had a slight smell of canalization

The family suite was perfect for us. The breakfast was good and we loved the little play area for the kids. The beds were more stiff than we liked, but that seems to be a common theme through-out Portugal - so nothing against the hotel.

Very convenient. Breakfast was good with many choices. Traveling with three adults and room was spacious.

Rooftop deck was undergoing maintenance as was not available. Otherwise a very nice place.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. The bathroom floor is a safety hazard! The floor is elevated by approx.. 6 inches in the sink and shower area (to accommodate plumbing) while the floor in toilet section is at the normal level. My wife tripped and almost fell while reaching for a towel. Although she had warned me of the danger that night, the next morning I walked out of the shower, tripped and fell up against the toilet. it’s a miracle that I didn’t hurt myself any more than I did, only a slight bruise on my side. Perhaps changing the colour of tiles on the different levels would allow guests to visually see the step down. As it stands, this bathroom is an accident waiting to happen!!

Everything here was just perfect for my stay in Setubal. Having free parking is a huge bonus. The room size was great with a nice balcony and the free breakfast was a great way to start off the day.

The rooms were not very soundproof.

The staff was super friendly

The staff were amazing. Cheyenne checked us in and was spectacular. Property was very clean, and breakfast was decent. Rooms were a little dated, but clean. Worked for our needs. One problem I had was the strong detergent smell on the sheets. Seems to be common through Europe, but we would prefer non scented detergent as it causes us allergic reactions.
