Hostal Sierpes
About Hostal Sierpes
This hotel is situated in the district of Santa Cruz, only 150 yards from the Cathedral, la Giralda, el Alcázar and the Archivo de Indias. The hotel has been renovated from an old mansion palace dating from the 17th century and is located in an emblematic area of the historic center of Seville. Rooms are pleasant and comfortable and are arranged around a typical Andalucian patio adorned with carved wooden artifacts and traditional ceramic artistry. In the restaurant, Don Melquiades, you can sample homemade Andalucian cuisine and Sevillan tapas. This is a perfect setting from which to visit the Andalucian capital on foot and to easily get to other interesting points in the city via public transportation. The location was great. The staff at the reception were very helpful. The breakfast (for 5Eur) was sparse but adequate.

We really like the bathroom tile. It was obviously redone recently and it all looked nice. Maybe you can provide washcloths? Also hooks to hang towels or clothes items would also be nice.

The location was just perfect, and everywhere that we wanted to visit was within walking distance.

This property is quite dirty, really needs a good cleaning. Especially in the common areas. The room is small and the bathroom shower over flooded into our room. The best part was that we found a half of a sandwich in the desk drawer. Didn’t like anything. Maybe only the location.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room very tidy and clean. Central location, you can walk everything. Very noisy from inside (cracking doors) and outside (old windows).

Location, price The room was very “Spartan”

The location and value of the room were exceptional. The hotel is large and it takes a few entries and exits to get the path figured out. This in no way was a problem and I was very pleased with my stay. It took a few days to get my bearings and get straight to my room. It was fun to discover the place, though.

The AC in the room worked but made incredible noise and was quite loud, like broken bearings or something similar. I had to use earplugs, and then it was fine.

It was in an excellent location and close to many restaurants. The staff went over and above in their service to us. Very nice people! Just one overhead light in the room. Lamps are needed!

Location is good, Room was very basic. Positives - A very nice traditional communal lounging area. Great Flamenco next door with discount for residents. Negatives - TV didn't work properly, Window didn't lock. Lights in room too bright. Room decor whitewashed walls.

Charming staff, great location. The atrium on the second floor was lovely and a hidden restaurant around the corner was a “find” I would advise against staying on the third floor as this hotel has no elevator. The room was cold and the small bed was shoved up against a chilly wall. It was also very noisy. Overall, safe, serviceable and friendly, but very basic.
