Cleanliness

Hotel not easy to find.
-
All was good. I stayed only one night. Finding it I’m map

You have to fight with staff to get the room you paid for. I requested quiet room, they gave me near the elevator. I had to go down again, requested again, they gave me stinky room (cigarette smoke), I went down again. They finally gave me a quiet room. Very cruel behavior. Laundry is very expensive, but washer and drier are not of good quality.

Room is too small. Bathroom is particularly small. Mold is not cleaned with mold remover, but you can see it in the shower.
-
Horrible to reach. Don't book if you plan to arrive by subway. The walk to the hotel is complicated and poorly indicated. Previous reviews already complained about this, but nothing real is being done to help guests find their way.

The rooms were very small, i wasn’t able to change air conditioning, no windows so room wasn’t ventilated.

I liked that large window overlooking the construction site. It was fairly quiet. I liked the large bed. Location was good, near large and contemporary shopping mall with a western grocery store and a couple of western restaurants. The air conditioning in the lobby was working just fine. The staff member really tried to help me and provide service. The main problem is the air conditioning problem in guest rooms. The first room I was given had absolutely no AC! None! Take into account that it is summer and hot and humid in Shanghai, you can imagine how hot was in that room. The second room overlooked the city where cars and the shopping mall parking are, so it was noisy and again very little AC. Then I waited 20 min in the lobby to be given another room, then I saw another room, again very little AC. Then, I waited another 20 min in the lobby, and after that they finally given me a room with AC operational. But, even that AC could do only 23 degrees Celsius and nothing less, and it was a constant borderline between being hot and comfortable. I do not understand why is this hotel not fixing its AC system?! It is obvious that most rooms are overheated as AC almost doesn't work. Or, maybe, the hotel owners want to save money on electricity and centrally block room AC systems from ever getting below 24 Celsius. This is possible because it is a horrible economic crisis in China and businesses want to save operational costs, and this means the guests need to pay the price for that, which is not okay. Also, the AC in the lobby worked extremely well, so I find it outrageous that the guests had to pay a high price for staff being cooled off well, while guests melt away in their ACless rooms. Also, the shower was moldy and in the room where AC was not working well, the stentch of mold was oppressive! The cleaning service department is not using chemicals to wash the shower and which can easily rid you from mold, which is typical for China - hygiene is very low and nobody accepts the germ theory that appeared in the 19th century and that explains in simple words how we get sick if we do not take care of hygiene properly. The really bad odour of mould was suffocatingly unforgettable.

The location is a little far out from the city and the reaching the hotel was a little bit of a nightmare.

I was given a room with a window. The most important information about my room was included in the very end of the description on the Booking app. This is deceiving tactic, because had I known that my room was with window looking "in to the inner courtyard" I would have never book it. This, so called "inner courtyard" is nothing else but a window into an inner space of the hotel, and when you pass by this space you can clearly see every single guest in such windowless room. So, no privacy at all! I complained at the reception and they gave me the room with normal window looking outside for the same price. But, if you look on Booking.com you will se that the room with the window is significantly more expensive. But, since it is a small and plain room it is not worth that money just for having something so basic such as a window. So this manipulatiin with the type of rooms and prices is what is so dishonest by the hotel and by the Booking.com.

It's been my 3rd stay here. Everything is perfect for a solo traveler for business.
-
Very artistic hotel lounge, comfy bed and nice staff. Also super near to a MRT station
-
The room is not big but you have everything you need and it's clean. Location is convenient for my own purpose. We can hear everything from next door. Not that the walls are small but there are important gaps between the window frame and the wall (aluminum part) and the sound pass through very easily. The breakfast is not that great very limited in terms of choice.
-
The manager of the hotel is very good person and the service is good. They can speak English very well. But what makes me very upset. The breakfast is very bad here. Very few things it seems that there is no any breakfast it’s Not worth paying for breakfast

I like the contemporary design of the hotel, especially the lobby and the rooms are clean. Nil

Very good

Location is very good. Right next to a huge mall. Clean and modern hotel. Nice decor My room has window that open to see the other room on the opposite side. So have to close it. No view.

Great stay! The bed is so comfortable! The hotel is close to the metro, staff are nice and the lobby is nice to hangout in. Close to Korea street which has interesting shops and restaurants. They let us leave our luggage for the day after we checked out. Room was nice temperature even in January when it was cold. Would stay again, good value for money. Make sure to book the room with city view / has nice sunrise view ! The wifi worked maybe one time in 4 days. It was horrible. Thankfully we had an eSIM card but was inconvenient. Shower was very good but couldn’t get quite hot enough

Staff don't talk in English
