Clean The communication with staff here left a lot to be desired. We saved up money and booked a stay here to celebrate our anniversary, as we had seen multiple photos and reviews online of the hotel making special room arrangements for guests for special occasions. I contacted the hotel three times prior to let them know this and they confirmed they would make arrangements for us too. Upon arrival, this was not the case. I informed the front desk and showed them my previous correspondence but no anniversary decorations were in our room when we returned. I provided this feedback to the hotel after our stay and they said the manager would reach out to me via email. It’s been a few weeks now and still haven’t heard anything. I hope the hotel can do better about following through with what they say they will do, because we experienced multiple occasions where this was not the case. Also, note that if you book the room with the panoramic pool, the room will be quite damp and humid.

The room was luxurious, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a clear view of the river. The bathroom was also beautifully designed. It would be perfect if this room type faced the Bund view.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. Service was also fantastic. Esp liked the champagne available and pastry choices. We also loved the spa and beautiful rooms The hotel could have had better wine and liquor choices and the rooftop bar service was very bad. We waited for our table for 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. Also drink quality was not great and service was extremely slow there. Disappointing unfortunately but spectacular views!

Great room with an amazing view Unfortunately the famous rooftop bar is closed currently and it’s not mentioned. We was really looking forward to get a good cocktail. Due to that it was not possible to order any cocktails

The location is superb - right on the bund with great views of the Shanghai skyline. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful. Great hotel, excellent location, friendly and helpful, but wifi was a total letdown. This is something the hotel will need to address if it wants to attract business travellers.

the tranquil atmosphere, layout, decor, space and facilities. a little bit dusty because of the carpet.

The room was spacious, clean and the room facilities were great. The front desk staff were really helpful and the breakfast serving staff (Gordon) was really helpful and friendly. the food menu wasn’t up to date and food and drink generally took a really long time to be served.

+super friendly staff +location near the Bund +restaurant Ocean's +breakfast buffet +early check-in and late check-out -the hotel room was not clean enough unfortunately: Immediately after check-in we found hairs in the bed and in the towels... -We went for a 2,5 hour dinner at restaurant Ocean's but the room was not cleaned during that time (while we specifically put 'please clean my room' on the door).
