Breakfast: Exceptional. There was a wide variety of options from traditional chinese, japanese and western style. Stations for noodle soup, omelette and one preparing various chinese style pancakes. Fresh juices packaged in recyclable glass containers, extensive fruit options as well as dumplings. It is one of the best breakfast buffets that I've experienced. The only uncomfortable issue was parents letting their children go to the buffet touching or reaching into the platters. Location: Perfect location for exploring the Bund, for shopping and walking along the river parkway. Service: The entire staff is very accomodating, helpful and polite. The Gym and yoga room were well appointed. Everything was great.

Our week-long stay at the Peace Hotel truly made my parents and me feel at home. First and foremost, I want to thank the entire Fairmont Gold Lounge team for their warm welcome and professional, personalized service. Kevin, in particular, meticulously attended to every little request we had from the moment we arrived, striving to fulfill them all. Chef Owen of the Lounge also deserves special thanks; he diligently prepared a variety of delicious dishes throughout the week, perfectly satisfying our cravings for Shanghai cuisine, and he would proactively ask what we wanted to eat, ensuring it appeared on the menu the following day. Nina at the lounge, and the two gentlemen (I apologize for not noting their names), provided impeccable service every day. Thank you so much! Besides these, I also want to express my special gratitude to the housekeeping department, especially Anna, whose housekeeping was impeccable, even for our discerning palates. Carry also deserves special thanks for her attentiveness, carefully inquiring about the details of the cleaning, ensuring our comfort and enjoyment. Furthermore, the communication within the entire housekeeping team was simply superb. For example, I only mentioned the size of my bathrobe to Anna once, and to my surprise, the team didn't make a mistake even during the two days she was off duty. Additionally, I'd like to thank Leah from the Jasmine Lounge; her attitude and professionalism during breakfast service were truly commendable. Of course, there were many others whose names I didn't remember, such as the concierge, lobby staff, and parking attendants. It's safe to say that the service at the Peace Hotel is first-class, making guests feel warm, safe, and happy. I will definitely stay at the Peace Hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

It’s location and the hotel long history with its antic decors. Its staffs are very friendly and easy going. They are always eager to help you if you need them. The room is a little bit dark during the day time. But it’s acceptable.

The peace hotel is a dream place .We liked it all. The history museum and talk by its curator was fascinating and fabulous.The art deco surtoundings are a delight. Every member of concierge team is so helpful, kind and offers so much help. The man who runs the fabulous breakfast is a true leader. A wonderful centrally located place to stay!

Architecture Service was poor, we got a room that smelled like smoke and were relocated to a smaller room with no consideration for the price we paid. Fairmont Gold experience was COMPLETELY lacking and it really tainted our time in Shanghai

The staff was friendly, polite, and extremely helpful in helping us navigate around Shanghai. The bar had a minimum fee of $420CNY. I was unable to have just a drink, as I would in almost every hotel in the world.

A flawless 5-night family stay (18–23 September) at this living Art Deco museum, Fairmont Peace Hotel exceeded every expectation. Our Fairmont King Room felt like an elegant apartment at 49m², with a super-king bed, even larger than advertised, luxurious finishes, and immaculate twice-daily housekeeping. The hotel’s heritage tours made the history come alive (don’t miss them!), and there were charming nooks to discover everywhere. Location is unbeatable, directly opposite the Bund and moments from the main shopping strip yet the interiors are serenely quiet. We loved the Jazz Bar, and the gym and pool were top-notch, but it was the service that truly made our stay: every staff member was warm and proactive, and a special thank-you to Alexander, who checked in on us throughout our stay and even arranged a private tour. The team graciously accommodated a late checkout for our evening flight and made it effortless when we decided to add an extra night. Everything was perfect, we only wish we’d stayed longer. Tip for future guests: book a longer stay; you won’t be disappointed!
