Crystal Hotel Shanghai The Bund Jinling

Staff was friendly and competent. We had to check out a day early and Booking.com couldn’t credit us so hotel used Alipay to personally credit us; they didn’t need to do that. Breakfast was really good with a great variety. Location wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great.

I enjoyed my stay, and a possibly to use the laundry room, and a possibility to leave my luggage there a few days before check in. Also location is perfect, was super easy to move around from there

Location isn’t that far from my meetings locations Towels were old, bathroom extremely small , noisy area , lights aren’t all on ;many need replacement, after cleaning the room they never change the used coffee cups they kept them as they are

LOCATION - Close to The Bund and to most of bus and train stations. SERVICE - We got room upgrade, with a window view without any additional costs. There is free dinner every 8-10pm. The towels are replaced everyday. Water, coffee and softdrinks are replenished everyday. Laundry is also available, for free. STAFF - The staff are kind and helpful. WIFI - Our room is located on the 8th floor, and somehow wifi is not working. We had to use our own mobile data throughout the stay. CIGARETTE SMOKES - It says 'No Smoking' but as soon as we enter the room, we can already smell cigarette smokes. Especially during early mornings, the smell was so strong that it made us wake up from our sleep. We found the remedy on our 4th day of stay by adjusting the aircon to its maximum lower temperature. It somehow helped but still there are times we can still smell the cigarette smokes.

Located in downtown, close to where ever you want to go. Open cafes and shops until late. Safe. Very good breakfast. Clean. Nothing.

The location was great, very close to the train station. The rooms were a little small and could be cleaner. The most amazing part was the amazing staff. They were all so helpful and patient. This was our first stop in China so we had alot of questions that they helped to answer (Taobao, Meituan). The laundry service was amazing, they even fold your laundry neatly. I wish they would make communcation a bit easier perhaps through wechat.

The actual room and bed sizes did not match the advertisement. When we raised the issue, the hotel manager refused to speak with us or offer alternative arrangements. As a result, my family including 85-year-old mother had to walk along the street searching for another hotel. This was the worst hotel booking experience I’ve ever had—it completely ruined our family holiday in Shanghai. Despite being a major hotel chain in China, Orange Hotel Group’s staff failed to distinguish between a full-size bed and a double bed. Their poor customer service and misleading advertisement forced customers like us to bear the consequences of their mistakes.

The place is pretty clean and the hotel is quite automated for a mid-range category. I.e, they have robots for room services, centralized controlled ambient lights, laundry facility, etc. The room is probably way too tech-savvy for us who do not read chinese. We had a hard time looking for the main light switch, which is found all the way at the bedside table. Otherwise, it's all OK for us.

Location was great, 1 km away from all the main turistic areas. Metro station just one block away. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

The toilet had a bidet. The shower water pressure was strong and the water was able to get hot relatively quickly. The shower offers two types of showerhead: the handheld movable type as well as a fixed ceiling mounted overhead one that rains down on you. They gave free water bottles every day. There was an on-site washing machine and drying machine for free; although, you have to wash and dry the clothes yourself. They did fold my dried clothes unexpectedly when I left them in the dryer too long. They have a gym. The Wi-Fi is decent, but it doesn’t really matter because of the Great Firewall of China. The TV they include is very big. They offer a fridge small enough to hold drinks. The location is so very close to a subway station.

The location near the subway.Very comfortable bed The staff do not speak English not even the basic words. The hotel is located in an area with many ongoing constructions that makes to feel and see the dust and noise. Room with interior view is the best choice.

Good location ie 23 mins walk to Yuyuan garden. Friendly staff The closest metro station is 3 mins away Toilet is a bit cramp
