Hotel Indigo Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town by IHG

This hotel is very nice, I like it and I’ll back to it once I go Shenzhen, no hotel in Shenzhen can be like this wonderful hotel. Need to keep iron and shave kits and others accessories in the room, no need to order it.

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Shenzhen and visiting Window of the World. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of dishes, including some options for vegetarians. The staff were helpful and assisted us whenever we needed something during our stay. Unfortunately, we did not feel entirely comfortable during our stay. One aspect we found inconvenient was access to the gym and pool. We had expected to be able to use these facilities freely, but instead we had to visit the front desk each time we wanted access, which became quite frustrating. We also understand that this is a five-star hotel and that certain services come at a premium. However, some prices seemed difficult to justify. For example, a transfer from the hotel to Shenzhen Railway Station costs around 90 RMB via Didi, even when choosing one of the most expensive vehicle options. The hotel, on the other hand, quoted approximately 500 RMB for the same journey, which felt excessive and unreasonable. Another issue concerned room service. We were unable to place orders through the hotel's app and therefore had to go down to the lobby to order food. When we informed the staff that the app was not working, we were initially told that it was functioning correctly. We then had to demonstrate the problem ourselves. After mentioning that we had already experienced the same issue the previous day, we were told that the system had been working yesterday and that our claim was incorrect. It is entirely possible that this issue only affected our account or device, but the interaction left us feeling that our concerns were not being taken seriously.

Good Room with balcony, ideal position. A few yards to the Metro system. Very Clean and WiFi all over the hotel. Shower good and good size bathroom. Large shopping Mall next to the hotel. Nothing

Nice hotel. Very tasty breakfast, lots of western and oriental options Great staff, Minnie, Rita all the staff fluent in english; and always trying to help. Wanted to pay cash, they made a charge on the credit card to secure the room, at check out couldnt be cancelled ( ended paying by card). Outdoor pool has no sun beds, its closed. Location is convenient but not great Its the first hotel in China that doesn’t make deliveries to the room, they are left by the front door; they encourage the room service but it has a very limited selection. The hotel doesn t exchange money and only suggest you to go to China Bank ( not very usefull on a friday night)

Comfortable hotel, great buffet breakfast, clean, good helpful staff. Location close to metro, shopping and many dining options. Good sized room, quiet, comfortable beds, clean. All ok

Location is somewhat convenient and there is a lot of variety for breakfast, love the tub which is important for frequent travelers which I really appreicate

Great location ,helpful staff Nothing

The hotel was amazing, great location, delicious breakfast, and overall excellent service from the entire hotel team. Special thanks to Alex at the reception, who helped us a lot during check-in and provided very useful information for our Shenzhen trip. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the front desk duty manager from the evening shift on 8 January (unfortunately, we forgot to get his name). My little niece has a sensitive stomach, and while we were simply trying to confirm a few details as a precaution, the hotel team went above and beyond to personally ensure that we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The hotel is highly recommended for families and is conveniently located near many theme parks.

Very centrally located. Room is value for maney, though all rooms of the same category are not of the same size. This time my room was 2/3rds the size of my room from last time even though I booked the same premier category. Breakfast is huge and plentiful. Smaller room.

Tasteful, elegant, clean, comfortable with a good gym, huge pool and good restaurants

The pool could use a bit more maintenance. Don't like wearing swim caps in the pool either!
