Location and historical value

Been staying at Mill Inn for every trip up to Montana since 2021 with my show dogs. Every single time has been incredible! Amazing staff, incredible accommodations for my dogs, and perfect location right off the interstate! I honestly cannot think of a single thing I don't like when I stay.

Enjoyed the historical significance. No issues

Good location, great spacious room. The air conditioner worked better than almost any motel I've ever been in. It was a little awkward to get to the room. If you're elderly or handicapped ask questions about getting to the room. Breakfast nook was small.

The re-use of the mill as an Inn near the interstate is what drew us to reserve here for one night. They also have two "bedroom"/2 bath rooms which is unusual to find and the value here was so good! You cannot miss finding this place from the interstate and they have parking on two sides. The free breakfast was ok with waffles, cereal, and toast. They also had yogurt but it was a large container that you had to scoop out of so we skipped out on the communal yogurt trough. They also had hard boiled eggs in ziploc bags and we passed on those too but others seemed to be enjoying them. The two "bedrooms" did not have a door between them so there is not total privacy in the bedrooms. Our view was to the north so we faced the tower and didn't have a great view. Adding any hot items to the breakfast would be nice as offering oatmeal, sausage, bacon, or other similar items would really elevate their breakfast.

The breakfast was pretty good. Staff were accommodating and overall quite pleased with everything. The place was a bit dated and could have used some upgrades.
