Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly. This hotel was historically one of the finest in NJ. The property overall was very tired and dirty. Also not happy with the surprise charge for overnight parking fee of $24 daily which was NOT listed on the Hotels.com site. ( only said parking available). I would NOT have chosen this property if I knew about the parking fee. Very disappointed and a waste of my reward points on this booking.

The location The hotel is dated. The garage was a disaster, curbing jutting out all over the place with sharp turns getting out of the lot . The curbing is all loaded with black scuff marks from tires hitting it . We damaged our hubcap getting out as apparently many others have . The exit signs are not highly visible. The garage does not look structurally sound with construction like posts holding up the garage in places . The rooms are very dated with a wet dog smell coming from the carpet in our room . The shower pressure was weak .

The potatoes were of low quality. One of the potatoes was completely burnt. The selection of food was something you would expect at a road side motel, not a Hilton. Bacon was clumped together in one mound. Fruit was not ripe. Danish and blue berry bread were poor quality. Hotel did not offer a free breakfast and charged us after the fact for poor quality. Hotel overcharged and blamed booking.com. Manager refused to take any action to assist. No one answers the phone due to staffing issues.
