The family-run Captain’s House is located in the center of Skala, only 50-yards from one of Kefalonia’s most beautiful beaches. Friendly staff, a great location and free Wi-Fi make this a great choice. There are 28 neatly decorated guest rooms, each of which offers air conditioning and private bathrooms. 22 rooms have balcony and six rooms are basement type rooms with window and non balcony , many of which offer lovely panoramic views. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served each morning on the veranda. There is also a bar at the guest house. The lighting was a bit dim given that our room was in the basement.

Convenient, clean, great owners! Everything was wonderful. Wasn’t a huge fan of breakfast but the coffee was good!

Great location, beach at the bottom of the street, town center just around the corner. Room has a fridge, good air conditioner and tv with BBC news channel. Very friendly staff especially the breakfast lady. Breakfast is pretty good European style. I was in a upper room which has a sloped ceiling which limits space and you keep banging your head. Shower is a nightmare, tiny and you can't help flooding the bathroom.

The breakfast was brilliant, a lot to choose from and als a variety of coffee’s ,rather than just standard filter coffee . And the hotel always smelled amazing. Can’t find a fault.

Excellent location with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Cocktails were fantastic ? Basic room but everything you need. They gave us a shower room to use as we had a night flight home.

Good location near the sea, calm place and clean room. It is a vey tiny bathroom, even difficult to wash a had and for breakfast we very missed tomatos and cucumbers. This is Greece, famous with a greek salats.

The room was lovely with a cute balcony looking down the street to the sea. We had toiletries in our bathroom that smelled nice. The bed was comfortable & breakfast was great.

Perfect location, next door to the Main Street but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise at night. Lovely little bar across the road with great atmosphere and good prices 5 minutes walk to the beach Owners and staff were very accommodating and attentive. Our room (20) recently refurbished and all rooms seemed to have new air con units, very efficient and quiet Didn't see a lift so may be a challenge for the less able. Some rooms only really have a view of the building next door over the Hotels garden area, you may need to ask to get a full sea view room but they will be closer to the road so it didn't bother me.

Great location, great staff, very helpful and friendly . Great breakfast continental but plenty to choose from, room cleaned everyday. Great value for money Not very good storage in room hard to get in wardrobe and no drawers. Couldn’t really fault anything else
