All good

Very quiet, a lot of character. Breakfast was included-very good Might not be suitable if you have asthma or respiratory issues.

Lovely evening meal, with homemade pies (they were really good) and a good selection of ales on tap. Really nice owners who make you feel very welcome, and overall it was a nice, traditional coaching inn that was comfortable and a great stop-off on our multi-day hike on The Dales Way. They also provided us with a nice packed lunch for our next leg and filled our water bottles. The TV didn't work in our room, but I fixed it with a multitool and some problem-solving!

Shower could of been better

Lovely old building with history and heritage. Ed, the proprietor, makes you feel welcome, appreciated and special. Nothing.

We were made so welcome by the staff & the character of the pub was charming. The food was delicious too with a fantastic choice for breakfast too.

The pub is in an incredible location and has a wonderful atmosphere.it is everything a cosy country pub should be , full of character and charm I have tried the award winning pies before and they were just as good this time! Excellent session ales too The room we stayed in had a low gabled ceiling and both of us managed to bang our heads quite hard on the metal beam when getting out of our twin beds! We were warned about the shower but still couldn’t get a comfortable water temperature so that wasn’t the greatest experience.the other guests seemed to have the same issue

What a magical place to stay. So much history, friendly and welcoming staff, amazing food, absolute peace and quiet, beautiful walks, warm and comfortable rooms. Enjoying dinner by the fire, chatting with fellow guests and the Saturday sing-a-long all added to a memorable experience. We hope we can return one day soon. Thank you so much for your hospitality, especially Ed and Sarah. There is nothing we didn’t like. We dealt with the steep narrow stairs to our room by just taking a change of clothes up in our backpacks, rather than lugging our cases up which worked really well for us.

Well this Hotel is a hidden gem, what did we like on the hotels behalf we loved everything Room brillinat Cleanliness brilliant Bar brilliant food brilliant The room we used the twin and it was clean, bedding wonderful and pillows also brilliant, we ate at the george inn it is out of any town so eating there is a must however the food is stunning all homemade and the award winning pies are the cherry on the top. then add the homemade desserts and a full breakfast which was also stunning they know what they are doing here There was nothing that the staff couldn't do to help they were warm and friendly being called by my first name was also a pleasant customer service skill and made you feel part of the family for the short time you were there, Don't hesitate booking this hotel it is a wonderful place. Thank you to everyone who made our stay memorable OK SO THE ONLY THINGS THAT EFFECTED OUR BREAK WAS BOOKING.COM when I booked I asked for an accessible hotel, in skipton now when I booked last December it had the hotel as town centre this has now been changed to 9 miles which is also not correct the hotel is located about a 39 minute drive from skipton. the hotel is also not fully accessible there were stairs to the main rooms and the pub and the upstairs had steps into and out of the rooms but this was not the george inns fault and I wanted to highlight it just incase wheelchair users look and Booking.com say it's accessible please check with the hotel. The only other thing some people may find a tad issue was we had no WIFI and actually had no signal on our mobiles the whole time we were there. but for us it gave us an opportunity to disconnect from life and just be together and this made our visit to the george inn all.the more special.

The innkeeper was wonderful and made for a terrific experience during our Dales Way walk. We got there early in the rain and they let us in which was appreciated. lovely pub and tasty pie (Monday is our only). It wasn't an issue for us but be aware no cell signal and WiFi is very limited (none in our room).
