Europe Hotel Sofia

Our room was non-smoking and it smelled of cigarettes inside. We got stuck in the elevator and waited 20 minutes for the door to open. The girl at the reception from the night shift had a disgusting attitude.

Friendly and helpful staff, location is excellent, close to public transportation, in a quiet residential area, close to shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, free, abundant breakfast. They have very spacious rooms with balconies and a fridge. The only thing that bothered us a little bit was that the AC was not strong enough but we were there during a heat wave and were coming from the States.

Location, staff, big rooms, close by public transportation. In general the place is a good value for money. Parking place is litle tight but managable.

The hotel is very nice with spacious room and terrace, nice breakfast and very kind personal. It is really good for price and location close to centre and also to airport with busses 84 and 184! There is lift, elevator and restaurant! I could not point still!

Big room and good temperature control.. No towels, water bottles were opened and empty mini bar. Not a single vending machine nor open bar. No reception instructions on phone.

What truly elevated our stay was the breakfast! The buffet offers a great variety – fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and good coffee. But above all, I want to give a huge shout-out to the breakfast manager, a lady with extraordinary human qualities. She is incredibly warm, attentive, always smiling, and goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. She ensures everything runs smoothly, replenishes the buffet with care, and creates such a positive, welcoming atmosphere that it really sets the perfect tone for the day. It's rare to encounter someone so genuinely kind and dedicated in hospitality – she truly deserves recognition! The staff in general were friendly and helpful. No major issues – everything matched expectations for a solid 4-star hotel at this price point. We highly recommend the Europe Hotel and would happily return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

There are not enough parking spots. Mattresses should be replaced, they are not comfortable.

I'm on vegan diet, there were hardly any options that were either vegan or vegetarian

The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were professional, welcoming, and always ready to help. Breakfast offered plenty of fresh and tasty options. The location is convenient, close to the center but quiet enough for good rest. Overall, a great choice in Sofia — I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to others.

This is not 4 star hotel

Spacious rooms The actiual title of the booking was "deluxe double room with free underground parking" but when checking in I was informed that the parking is full and good luck finding a spot on the street.. How come, when you advertise you have 60 parking spots and the hotel only has 40 something rooms? The room smelled of mold. The curtains had holes in them, the balcony was dirty, the furniture was damaged, we had to unplug the minibar because it was very noisy. The balcony had damaged ceiling and some bits of the plasture were falling off. Only 1 pair of slippers and 1 bedsheet although the booking was for 2. Breakfast almost uneatable: the scrambled eggs were floating in some liquid, old cheeses & meat. And the cherry on top: when I used the dispenser for juices, the orange juice was clear water with a residue (orange wash probably). Super dissapointed in everything, as I chose this because it has 4 stars and free underground parking which I didn't see.
