Laid back atmosphere, garden in front of the house, easy to communicate with other people (kind of community feeling, majority Italians, most people come for surf), good quiet location among other houses, with 10 mins walk to the beach. I was lucky to be alone in the room for 4 people, so that was additional bonus for privacy. I liked the garden, it is not big or carefully kept, but it was nice to sit outside, there is a huge lovely fig tree. I asked for a locker and got it. Breakfast was ok - bread/jam/nutella/coffee/juice/milk, definitely perfect for the price. Possibility to rent surf and wetsuit. Overall I liked it. There is no kitchen to use by the guests, which is not so bad, but I would really appreciate an electric kettle to be able to boil water to make my tea. The bed was ok, not great, but ok for the price.

Great staff. The hostel is a big house, with garden and a common area to chill with tv. Everything is a short walking distance. Supermarket 10min walking. Town 10min walking, beach 15min. You can join then when they go all together to surf. As they say, there is no kitchen available for guests. No proper place to work with the laptop.

Great surf community, good boards to rent, facilities to dry your wetsuit etc If you don’t speak Italian and you are solo traveler I don’t recommend this place because it is an Italian community and it is hard to connect with people

Location is 10min from Somo city center The whole property seems to be constructed in a DIY-fashion. Not clear who is in charge and various seemingly random people hanging around all day. Sanitary facilities are ok, but not super clean. Very thin walls so sound travels through the house. One night there seemed to be some sort of Italian karaoke night that didn’t stop until midnight. No locks on doors anywhere, so anyone could walk in.
