Very nice staff, helpful and understanding Close to the harbour, very close supermarket Sheets were a little stained and dirty, Shower was a little dirty as well It was raining and the roof was not really sound proof.. it woke us up during the night

We came to this hotel for 1 night on June 5 after 4 nights in Raja Ampat. I had gotten bitten by a stone fish and needed medical care asap which I've still been dealing with one month later. When we stayed at Ayla City Hotel, my girl friend left her purse in the room when we went to the hotel breakfast. It's the only time in our ENTIRE trip she went somewhere without her purse. We checked out of the hotel that same day and took our flight back to Bali, and then went to another island next where I could recover from the sting. It was there that she noticed $200 American dollars and some foreign currency she had brought for emergency had been stolen from a small zipper in her purse. She said the money was not how it was arranged and how she left it. The ONLY time she didn't have her purse the entire trip was when she left it in the hotel room at the Ayla City hotel when we went to breakfast, and we noticed when we left the room a cleaning staff was nearby and saw our exit and started heading to the room. Someone even tried to open the door at night when we went to bed early. This was a HORRIBLE experience, especially right after I was bitten by a stone fish and needed medical attention.

The hotel was relatively close to the airport. The staff was friendly. The services and rooms were old and need maintenance.

The sink in my room had no water whatsoever. And the shower only had cold water.

One of the nicer places we had stayed during this trip. Staff very helpful. Room was very comfortable, and the Breakfast layout was very nice. When the elevator didn't work early on our departure, the porter carried our bags for us without asking. Very nice people. Breakfast on the first floor was not particularly well laid out, but the breakfast on the second floor during our second visit was huge!

The reception (this was our second visit) was above par! Very professional and they were prepared for our arrival. Our room on this visit was excellent, no questions. Beds were comfy again, very good. Lots of Hot running water. Appreciate all the small extras, including bottles of water. Breakfast was set up on the second floor this time, and a much better layout. Much more comfortable seating area than our last visit.

The room was adequate. The onsite restaurant was good. Location was awesome - near lots of shops and banks. Air conditioner cooled the room off well. My first-floor room's window faced the staff hallway, which was odd. After the third person walked right by my window I closed the blinds. It was a bit noisy.

The staff were amazing, I arrived fresh off the redeye from Makassar, and they let me check in early to get some sleep. The hotel is clean, and located very close to the airport. I could hear what sounded like construction noise coming from the hotel as I was dosing off that night, not sure if that’s common or they had something that needed immediate repair, and ultimately it didn’t keep me awake (and Im a sensitive sleeper)

Not much. At least there was a window for natural light. Dirty room. One sheet. Sewer smell coming up constantly from toilet.

Since I had a health problem, I didn't want to try the breakfast so I have nothing to say about it. But the room was very good and met my expectations. Anyway, I only stayed one night because this hotel was just for the night before the trip back to my country. I don't have any criticism. All was very good
