El Jardin

The room was in the basement, no light coming in, gardener was working in the garden and so we could not open the curtain because of privacy. Cigarette smell throughout. The room was very small for two persons, almost no moving space beyond the bed.

Great value

The cleanliness of the room was outstanding (the best I have ever experienced, anywhere) and it was also cleaned daily to the same really high standard. It had everything we needed and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and we were literally looked after as if we were in a 5* hotel. The bed was also extremely comfortable and having the mini fridge and tea making facility was a real bonus for us. It was a pleasure to come 'home' at the end of the day and be cocooned in comfort before setting off again in the morning. We would definitely like to return and explore the area further, such a beautiful part of the world. Also, being able to park outside made everything very easy and convenient, especially as my husband couldn't walk too far. Thank you for your genuine care and attention to our needs, it has been a real pleasure and a bonus to have met you.

To my personal taste I prefer bigger windows and I don’t like ground floors. In the morning you might hear a little bit of running children above.

We chose this lovely place because it was not far from the prehistoric caves and Museum of Altamira, famous for its cave paintings. Like Lascaux, France , it is an exact reproduction and they are fantastic. The ceiling paintings of the bison are so realistic. El garden Inn had so many beautiful gardens. We were in the beautiful, large, 1st floor lavender room which had a couch and bed and separate bathroom. The host was very helpful, suggesting a lovely seaside restaurant that was quite close and we watched a lovely sunset. We were on a tight reservation to visit the caves so we had to leave before breakfast was served. There was secure parking in an enclosed compound. We highly recommend this Inn. nothing

The plumbing could have been quieter - we could hear every toilet flush and shower around us, and also every footstep above.

Everything perfect. Clean and comfortable, good location for nearby facilities, very friendly and helpful family, air conditioning, excellent breakfast, can’t ask for anything more.

Warm welcome and helpful advice. Lovely garden. Excellent breakfast. There was nowhere nearby (within comfortable walking distance) to eat well at the time we were there.

Property was beautiful! It was extremely quiet in the rooms. Excellent beds, very comfortable. Sarah cooked delicious eggs, and almost all of the pastries where homemade and super delicious. The flans were amazing, one was better than the next., 15- 20 minutes to Santander by car. A lovely family and family run business. We will return to Santander we will stay there again. Bravo El Jardin!

An excellent breakfast. A beautiful garden. Easy walk to the beach.

Family friendly, beautiful and clean

Narrow entrance to a rather small car parking area. I wouldn't wish to either get in or get out when they are fully booked.
