Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) by IHG

The room was not properly cleaned when I checked in, and the bedsheets had not been changed, I found hairs in my bed. Staff did change after request. During my stay, the room was not vacuumed, and basic toiletries such as shower gel wasn’t provided. Overall, the housekeeping and room cleanliness were well below what I would expect from a hotel. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.

The bathroom was outdated. The doors were heavy and slammed shut. There were so many kids screaming in the hallways. Just not a great experience.

There was no body wash available, and the entrance had a strong smell of smoke, despite the sign indicating a 100% smoke-free zone.

Well maintained .. breakfast too expensive

Continental breakfast only If we knew before we paid extra for breakfast that it was continental only we wouldn't have paid extra and would have gone down the road to eat

Location is just okay. Like that they have an outdoor pool but it’s never clean (been staying here for years) tub was very clean and beds were clean and comfortable. But the sink faucet leaked and there was constant water on the entire bathroom counter, getting all of our stuff wet. Leaking faucet. That room was not clean and ready when we checked in after 4pm and had to wait with all of our stiff in the long for a while.

Great location rooms were comfortable Overpriced, staff didn’t seem to happy. One elevator that was slow and at the far end.

Disappointing

The prices have gone up a lot in the last couple years, but other than that, everything was fine.

Issues #1. Bathroom door & toilet block access to the tub. Cut my face on towel holder trying to turn the shower on. #2. No bar soap or garbage pail in bathroom.

The staff was friendly the breakfasts was good and the server and the chef were very nice The room was very small especially the bathroom not enough light at the bathroom mirror to put makeup on water pressure was very low and the sink was clogged also they gave us a room on the 3rd floor long walk to the lobby for elderly women

The property was nice but unfortunately after a very long drive and only a day stay our room wasn’t ready until 9:30 at night. It unfortunately took a lot away from our trip for the amount of money spent. Didn’t check us in until 9:30pm. We only had one day there and exhausted when we arrived.
