Courtyard by Marriott Southfield

The room was spacious enough for the 5 of us that came to town for an overnight trip. The location was easy to access highway.

During my stay I found that the staff were not very helpful and were at times rude. I went to the cafe and attempted to order something during the allotted time. The staff all about told me that the hotel or manager did not grocery shop and they was nothing available and that she had been on vacation for weeks. She went to the back but never came back out to communicate anything . This is unprofessional and unacceptable. During my morning checkout the front desk employee communicated that she could not print me a receipt out from deposit. And offered to write a receipt out. How is this possible?

I booked this hotel for the indoor pool, but the days that we stayed the pool was closed.

Sink! Was stopped up! No complimentary breakfast for the price. The swimming pool, it was not circulating to be clean. Door fell off sink and leaking water! Video of t v was going in and out, maybe because of antenna issues! Elevators did not work

Elevator was broken. Pool was cloudy/filmy. Full trash bags in the hallway. Used towels and trash left in the room is was assigned. Loud A/C unit in the room. Concerned for my safety.

Yes the first night I was given a handy Ap room and the shower didn’t have a shower certain and water was everywhere after taking a shower so I asked for another room and was given one the following day and that room was great

The booking process was easy, the staff was very nice but the hotel itself needs some upkeep, some of the screen doors were hanging off of the outside sliding doors, our room smelled like a pack of cigarettes and in the middle of me showering the maintainance man unlocks my door and attempted to come in thank God i had the latch on the door. I asked why was he trying to come in and he stated he was told no one was in that room and he had to fix a clogged sink. I called the front desk and i was told me and my children can move to another room but the rooms that are available didnt have working air( mind you it was 98 degrees in southfield this day) so i had no choice but to let him in and drill to fix the sink which i was told would take 15min took 30, i would not be returning

Arrived at the Marriott on July 10th with fresh towels. But I didnt receive clean towels July 11th and July 12th. My room was never cleaned the 3 days I was there. My garbage was never emptied. The customer service was horrible. We ask over and over again if we could receive clean towels but they never came to our room. There is NO CONTINENTAL breakfast as this particular hotel. People are not on the same page. They have a bar and Starbucks in the inside but I never seen a bartender or a barista serving people. I think the bar is for show. I always told that it was only housekeeping on July 11th. I am not the only one complaining

Room did not seem clean, show curtain was on the couch when we arrived. There was not enough sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out sofa bed even though we noted we would have 5 guests. Loud guests running though the halls late at night.

No ice bucket or microwave in the rooms

I did not stay I left the nightstand was full of ants

This hotel was terrible check in was terrible the front clerk was arguing with customers. The only one working. We arrived at 5pm. For check in didn't get a room till 11pm. Was told housekeeping were still cleaning rooms. When finally able to check in rooms was NEVER CLEANED in had to get another room. That room as clean but NO AIR CONDITIONER. plugs on night stand didn't work. And I had to lay on the floor just to get air in use my portable handheld fan. No we couldn't go to another hotel because of the storm and Everyone was Sold out!!!

The front desk ladies are friendly and really nice. I'm planning to stay there again

Room surfaces were clean but the room smelled and was unpleasant to be in very long. The worst part was there was an almost empty roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no extras. Went to front desk and they said they’d have someone bring. Never came. Toilet paper is a pretty big deal. We bought our own TP.

It needs a little help.

i wasnt advised at check in if there was hot water avaiable for tea and coffee in the lounge, nor any details on breakfast
