I didn't get to stay longer?

The location is great, it is almost 10 mins walking to everywhere. The cleanliness and the smell were very bad and the hostel was basically a mess.

I was here during the Christmas week and extended my stay through Christmas, not just because the town of Split was stunning, but Vedran and the rest of the staff made me feel at home. We had a lovely Christmas dinner, and felt like I had found my tribe for the week. He was always checking to make sure the guests were comfortable and welcomed to mingle. It was hard to leave. I felt very safe and comfortable, which is not always the case at hostels. Also, the sunset views from the balcony are top notch! I will definitely stay here when I come back to Split. Bathrooms are small, but not really much that can be done about that.

A bit lousy from the common area in the late hours. It was hot in the room even though outside was 20-22.

Great location ~10 min walking from Diocletian Palace Golden Gate/Gregory of Nin statue. Staff was helpful and responsive with check-in details. Check-out was smooth and stay was uneventful. Only provided a thin sheet to sleep with -- felt a bit cold as another roommate decided to set the A/C to 24C. 2 showers for 20 people is a bit difficult at times but it was OK for one night.

We got there late and the trash was overflowing. Sink was full of food waste. Not really the hostels fault, but got there while there was a party and we just wanted to sleep.
-
The bed is very shaky and the room is packed with bunk beds. When someone on the adjacent bunk bed moved, it shook so much that their bunk bed hit ours and shook ours as well. Did not sleep well on the 3 nights that I stayed.

Not enough bathrooms and showers for the number of rooms
-
I missed in the reviews that the hostel is on the 5th or 6th floor- so 99 steps to go up. They are short steps, so not as awful as it sounds.

Must go! One of the best hostels ive stayed in the whole of croatia. The welcome to the hostel is great all the staff provide a very clear run down of how the hostel is laid out and where all facilities are located and then a very detailed description of split and the surroundings, things to do places to eat cheap or not, places to see and activities available catering to if you would like to see split with a guide or by yourself. Rooms are great cool at night and friendly throughout the day. The staff are always available with whatever you need whenever some of the friendliest people i have met in my travels of croatia with an excellent atmosphere throughout the hostel leaving you with a smile from ear to ear and a buzz about the place that feels so organic and natural you never want to leave! Could not recommend more! Nothing it was excellent.

The hostel was quite convenient and made visiting the Old Town very easy. We were able to just walk to the main sights quite easily. Antea was very helpful and even provided recommendations for our stay.

Great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Actually everyone who lives there is friendly and helpful. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans. I cooked both days I was there. The sitting area is very nice as well. Now I have stayed at many hostels. I would call this a party hostel. They party first in the hostel, then outside, then come back at 2 a.m.. I don't think the night staff there didn't do much to ask people to be respectful. So go to this hostel if you like to party, or bring great ear plugs, or you sleep from 3 a.m. to noon... That will work too. Lol.p

Lovely hostel just near the city center, 15 minutes walk from the bus/train station, even less to the riva, grocery stores nearby, friendliest staff and a lot of amazing people from all around the world - definitely would recommend to everyone! ?

Neat location (10-15 minutes walking from a bus/train station), friendly staff and guests, huge common room with a TV, and a balcony with a lovely view. The old town center and grocery stores are nearby. Definitely worth it!
