Comfort Inn & Suites Springfield I-55

We got to the room and there was a dead cockroach next to the toilet. The room was dirty and unkept. We did get another room, but it was disappointing.

bed...divided with door...TV in both rooms...frig and microwave...desk and coffee table. Pool was clean 3' to 4' deep. Breakfast was great with sausage, bacon, eggs, waffles, yogurt and other food choices. Towels were well stocked. I stayed one night and got a late check out. I would recommend.

Hotel need a refresh and curtains that actually close and cover the windows. Pool looked super murky and eas closed the next morning.

Clean room, great staff, well kept property. In a convenient location with lots nearby. Great for a couple of days in Springfield.

Great location for the train, Catholic Church and state fair

The hallway smells like nasty cat litter. The room smelled like vinegar. Like so strong we had to wash all bags and clothes the second we left. Breakfast was greasy. Coffee was weak. Person working at the counter for check in was folding towels and doing laundry when we showed up. Seemed busy. Hot tub needs drained and painted. Pool needs to be retested for chemical levels.

I enjoyed my stay at this comfort inn much better then the last one I stayed at. I had stayed at the one in Effingham Illinois and our room was less then satisfactory there. The beds were hard, the door on the bathroom didn't close right, breakfast was less then satisfactory. The only good thing was the pool and hot tub. At this location, The bed was very comfortable. My room was great. Breakfast was really not to my satisfaction as eggs with cheese were burnt, juice was warm, and disappointed that the biscuits were cold for the biscuits and gravy. The pool and hot tub were great. Staff was friendly as well.

Overall a good hotel! The pool and hot tub could use some attention. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

The Morning staff is RUDE. They act like everything is a problem and don't want to help with anything. The night staff is so nice and will help with anything with a great attitude!! The other problem I had was I got charged seven different times all different amounts and I had the hardest time getting it back.
