Motel 6 Springfield, IL

Our room was clean but very basic. The outside seems run down and in need of some repair. The ac worked well. The bed was comfy, the pillows mid. The hallways smelled of weed when we got back to our room at night. We stayed one night for the state fair, and it was a decent stay. This is not luxury but clean and basic.

Everyone that worked the front desk (day and night) where so gracious with assisting and guiding us through our stay. Easy to request room service, helpful when needed assistance with laundry room services, and efficient when completing requests for AC unit maintenance (they replaced the whole thing and compensated with a discount on a couple nights). Location is perfect for seasonal event work with everything you need within a 5-15min radius.

Rooms were clean, pool not usable because it was not maintained. I was there with my grandson with intent to use the pool , that was one of the reasons we stayed there. So not good in that regard.

Room was clean throughout, and no sign of bed bugs. I was told it was a pet free room, but it smelled like pets had been allowed at some point. Hard floors, though, so no questionable carpet to deal with. Room had fridge and microwave; no coffee maker or hair dryer. Bathroom did not have an exhaust fan. Lighting was dim throughout, but mostly adequate. Walls were "thin" as I could sometimes hear people or dogs, but luckily most were respectfully quiet. Toilet flushed very loudly, but shower had great water pressure. Adequate outlets. I did not turn on the tv. No breakfast that I saw, but lobby had vending machines. Air conditioning worked fine. Free and plentiful parking. Staff was very friendly at check in; I had no issues, so that was my only interaction.

Nice place to stay for the price. Wish to have had access to drinking water/ a water fountain. Stayed here during the fair time and it was convenient to get to the fairground easily. Staff was all very nice.

The bed .mattress was not attached it slid every time you moved and it was on a board that i hit myself on . NO Dresser the TV was so small I couldn't see it .No shampoo nothing a teeny bar of soap only Otherwise it was very clean ..The Pool Was Empty Also Thay was disappointing..And no coffee in the room of any kind

Would not return… although recently partially renovated. Mattresses & pillows seem very overused. Shower was not clean. Marijuana smell filled first floor. Will not return.

The staff was nice . They gave me extra pillows because honestly those were some flat pillows . The place seriously needs an update with empty areas just opened . The pool was a swamp . The parking lot was in poor condition .

Location The smell in the halls, room was terrible. One SMALL bar of soap for the bathroom, pillows & bed lumpy. Someone threw up outside our room. Covered it with a towel & reported. No one at the desk seemed concerned. The sink had no stopper so had to put towel in sink in case something dropped. My cleaning rags were better than the towels

My experience at the La Quinta near Walmart was very different. When I needed understanding and assistance, I felt dismissed by a morning staff member rather than supported. After staying at hotels of many different levels over the years, it was one of the most discouraging customer-service interactions I have experienced. This hotel shows what true hospitality should look like: treating guests with respect, patience, and compassion. A free breakfast is a nice extra, but it will never outweigh the value of being treated with basic decency.

We needed a clean room and air conditioning after being at the State Fair for the day. Motel 6 sufficed. There were some noisy moments in the hallway at 2 AM from some others staying at the hotel. The A/C was a little loud and seemed to have a hard time keeping up with the level of coolness we needed after being at the fair all day, but all in the hotel room served it's purpose!

The location only The room, floor smelled like stinky sneaker shoes, the room didn't have a fridge or no remote in it, the bed was horrible from the pillows being flat, the sheets had cigarettes burn holes in it, the toilet and tub was still dirty so I had a worker to spray some cleaner and I had to clean it myself. They wouldn't or should I say they didn't give us the wifi code to connect the TV or a remote for the tv. Requested for extra towels, pillows, and tissue. The workers was rude, no customer service at all, and we waited over 2 hours for someone to come and fix the TV and they never showed up. The whole floor had a horrible smell from the time we walked in the building. There were abandoned cars on the lot full of trash. The 1st night the elevator had urine in it. It was dead roaches in the hallway. It was a very horrible experience and I will never stay at this Motel 6 ever again!

Nishi, AJ and Prince were great to work with. Every time I would go through the lobby they would say hello and or somebody was always vacuuming cleaning wiping something down outside sweeping. The facility is very clean! The only reason I gave it a nine out of 10 was because the pool was closed. And we had planned to spend a day at the pool with family. Unfortunately, they kept on saying it was because of rain. But it was green and by the time we left, they had covered it and removed all the furniture.

Property and rooms were clean. Basic rooms, perfect for a quick overnight. The back entrance door, had glass broken and taped to hold it. The microwave in the room needs replaced, it was burning food and dirty.

It was quick and easy to find from the interstate.Unfortunately, they had no dumb waiters.So our luggage was a challenge to get into the room.No breakfast amenities was a disappointment as well.But there was a crack of brown right across the street, which made it convenient

Clean, freshly painted, and love the fact that there is no carpet in the room. The air freshener sermed a little strong.

The price Even though it was non-smoking, it smelled of tobacco
