Tucked away behind Dal Lake, this 3-star property is a practical, high-value base for exploring Kashmir. Because most guests use the hotel as a launchpad for day trips to Gulmarg, Pahalgam, or Sonmarg, it focuses on what matters most: seamless transitions, a solid breakfast, and genuine hospitality. The owner/manager brings a professional international touch, having worked in the Netherlands and speaking both English and Dutch. That experience shines through in the service quality and the clear commitment to constantly improving the guest experience.

The hotel is by the lake, it has a very relaxing atmosphere, nature is really close. It is an affordable great alternative of the Houseboats. The hotel staff was really helpfull in everything: booked the airport transfer, the sightseeings, even organized to have my laundry done. Food is available and delicious. I really recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Noise. Lots of dogs barking throughout the night then joined by imams around 4.30 am, competing with lots of other mosques with booming loudspeakers.

I had a lovely experience on this houseboat. It’s very well maintained and the beds are very comfortable. It’s on a peaceful lotus lake and I loved listening to the birds and practicing yoga on the deck to the sunset. The family are lovely and could not do more. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable and beautiful Kashmiri tea served all day. Highly recommend. On my last day, I felt really pressured to leave a review and to tip. I don’t mind being asked once but several times, lead me to leave feeling quite frustrated. I would also have appreciated more transparency about meal and boat prices- a price list would be nice.

Cleaneliness and behaviour. My first concern in any hotel is cleanliness. this hotel has very clean toilet and bed. The front rooms feel lively and open. One more best aspect is availability of warm water in all taps and faucets One of the rooms had lood bed and creaked on changing posture. But they changed my room.

Breakfast is not included though it was very inexpensive. No electric kettle in room so you couldn't enjoy coffee on the terrace for the sunrise.
