Great location near WashU! The staff are always friendly and helpful!

Always a delightful place to stay.

The Cheshire is charming .

One criticism- I wish they would update the lightbulbs in the hallways to warm white LED. The sickly color the fluorescent bulbs give off make everything an ill/greenish tint to it, giving more of a horror movie vibe. It could be so much more theme appropriate warm glow and make the hallway inviting.

This is an older property but the room was clean and comfortable; the pool was fun; the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; and breakfast was varied and delicious. The hotel location is very convenient to everything we wanted to do. The hotel theming was great and my history nerd daughter loved it! Oh and the on property starbucks was great too!

Solid choice and I would go back in a heartbeat.

We had requested a refrigerator the first night at the hotel and told us they would get us one each day from 8/11 thru 8/13 and we checked out on 8/14. We lost a lot of perishable items because of this. Everyday we would ask and we told we would have it that day. It never happened. We were very disappointed.

Wonderful, helpful staff. The bar is the best feature. Great stay.

We really love the hotel and it’s location was convenient with plenty of parking. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend!

When checking in, the staff woman was less than friendly. There seemed to be a situation with another upset guest that may have caused the unpleasant nature. Once we entered the room, we noticed right away a musty smell. The AC did not seem to be working correctly. Though it never got hot, it also never got any cooler. The furniture had visible stains and a few of the pillow cases had staining as well. The pillows themselves are downed pillows and once you lay on them, they flatten out thin. We requested a few extra pillows that were supposed to be brought to our room which never arrived. We requested more towels which were also supposed to be brought to our room which also never arrived. Breakfast on morning one for us which was Sunday was great, however it was apparent that the fruit and pastries were being reused daily and by our check out morning on Tuesday they were no good. The pool area was decent. You have to reserve the canopy so it was unusable to us. Overall, our stay was okay. I wouldn’t say it was awful but I wouldn’t say it was great either. We don’t intend on staying in the future.

The bed frames were ripped, the covers didn't fit the bed and the smell was horrid
-
The bar on site was very cool, has speakeasy vibes.
-
Bosso was an excellent meal with good ambience and well worth the price.
-
It has a phone but no cords to connect. Room had a musty smell.
-
Could have been cleaner in bathroom (tub, corners, under table) bedroom along walls carpet

Love this hotel! We enjoyed the British author concept. We learned about the author for our room and the books he wrote. The room was decorated in era form. This was a great stay. Breakfast was the best. I would stay again when we visit St Louis. Thanks

Parking garage is a bit sketchy and the hotel does not feel clea

Very charming property. We loved learning about a new author and the nice breakfast. Free street parking on the street is plentiful so I wouldn't pay for hotel parking. On-site restaurant was very loud and didn't have kid's menu but we made do.

Very unique hotel. I love historical feel and whimsy, and this hotel fits both. Very old English feel, with all of the antique looking furniture. Breakfast was included with the room and it was fantastic. The fresh fruit was such a nice treat. You can tell it's not a new hotel, but it was very clean, which is more important to me!
