Rihios Hotel

The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. We stayed for 10 days, and the menu was exactly the same every single day, without a single new item. By the fifth or sixth day, we started going to a bakery because we simply couldn't eat the same food anymore, and it was especially difficult to find something our children would eat. They usually enjoy hotel breakfasts, but here they ate very little. The breakfast would greatly benefit from more variety. The beach is not really a hotel beach, even though it is presented that way. Hotel guests pay the same as everyone else for the sunbeds. It was also the worst beach we visited in the area—the entrance to the sea is very rocky and uncomfortable, and the sunbeds are placed far too close together.

A lot of Bulgarians were running in the morning before breakfast to occupy the hotels sunbeds at the beach and then they weren't even using them. We saw some woman running to the beach to "reserve" a place with some towels. When we got there, she "reserved" 4 sets of sunbeds, first row. She was the only one for a whole day there. There should be assignated sunbeds for guest, just because of these situations.

Relaxing hotel on Stavros beach. We stayed in a junior deluxe suite which was newly renovated, luxurious and comfortable. It was close to perfect. We also enjoyed some day trips to Stagira, Mt. Athos cruise, Thessaloniki and Kavala/Philippi all within driving distance. Stavros as an area is not a top destination and hence streets and landscapes are not manicured estetically.

The property is nice, close to the sea (with fine sand) and with a pretty big parking lot. The pool is a plus, the food was ok. Breakfast is good to have, it’s pretty decent. Cleaning is done daily, which is nice. The staff unfortunately. There was only one person there that was reliable, but she was surpassed with work. The girls at the bar (especially the blonde one) were absolutely a mood killer every single day. The attitude per all was not hospitable, we felt like an inconvenience most of the time. We also found a staple in our friend’s Greek salad, which could have been a real health problem.. If the staff were nicer, the overall experience would have been a lot better. So we won’t return here unfortunately. Also, the pictures from booking have nothing to do with reality:)

We took delux apartment for 4 person, on two levels, very nicely designed with a lot of small interesting details, comfortable, beautiful terrace , cleaned every day. Breakfast was okaysh. Entrance in a water on the beach is not so comfortable. However, if you come by a car, in 15 minutes drive you can be at very nice beach (SunTan).

Perfect location , the hotel is close to the beach, convenient parking for cars, friendly staff.
