MainStay Suites Sterling near Dulles Town Center

Nothing. This property was dirty, the staff were very creepy and tried to charge me twice for random *fees* that we were not aware of. There were people that would be smoking and drinking right by the entrance that just made it very uneasy. Not to mention the lighting was horrible, so it was very creepy and felt unsafe.

Good location for my needs. Nice little town center near by with restaurants and a grocery store Basic conditions, no carpet, not well stocked. Did have a cockroach crawl across the bed.

Convenient location, free parking, it was good for my purpose, which was to have a bed to sleep for one night. The room smelled and they overcharged me, but corrected it later.

The hotel did not honor the reservation. Upon arrival, I was given a room with just one bed and a small sofa. The sofa bed was very narrow, sleeping only one person. We arrived late, and no other room was provided. My two daughters had to sleep on the floor using the sofa cushions and mattress. We had to ask for bedding because none was available in the room. The next day, I asked them to honor my original reservation, but the staff members were unfriendly; they told me that was the room I had paid for and there was nothing they could do. From his office, the manager instructed them to tell me I could have the correct room for an additional amount of money. After considering the situation and wanting to avoid escalating the conflict, I decided to pay the extra amount. Later, I noticed my credit card had been charged twice that amount. I asked them to check this, and they told me they would only charge once and that the extra charge on my card would disappear in a few days. I hope that turns out to be the case.

Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, although I did not cook. Parking was adequate. Parking was well lite.

The people at the desk seemed nice enough. The bed was comfortable. The internet connection was TERRIBLE. There were long stretches when I couldn't connect at all, and others where the streaming services would have to buffer. The AC unit was very loud when it turned on The little pantry area was very poorly stocked

Pervasive weed smell. Noisy. Gym underwhelming.

It was clean

The room was clean and spacious. Nice kitchen space, with a simple area to work or relax. The only issue was the walls are very thin. You could hear everyone and everything. It was like being a dorm room.
