The 4-star Hotel & Restaurant Christkindlwirt is an oasis of relaxation in the famous pilgrimage town of Christkindl in Upper Austria, right behind the baroque church. Surrounded by green fields and woods, yet only a 4-minute drive from the romantic town of Steyr, the hotel offers light-flooded and comfortable rooms with light wood, warm colors and a fantastic view from the beds. For 4 generations, the restaurant has served lovingly prepared regional dishes and Austrian wines. A rich breakfast buffet is available until 10:00. The unique “Felsen-Vital-Oase” made of natural rock offers a sauna, a steam bath, adventure showers and a relaxation area. It can be used free of charge. Bathrobes and bathing shoes are available at the reception at a charge and a deposit. Additional highlights of the hotel are the south-facing terrace at a height of 82 feet, and the Angel Rock, which is illuminated with the colors of the rainbow. The Hotel Christkindlwirt welcomes you with a drink at the cozy hotel bar. A fruit basket is available at the reception. All bookings include the Pyhrn-Priel Aktivcard from May 1 to October 31, featuring up to 66 free services and 32 discounts (as of 2026, subject to change).

Nice and quiet place to stay. There is a parking place close to the hotel,which was very important for us as we traveled with the car. They served great breakfast in the morning. Highlights for the kids was a Christ Kind Post Office just next door.

Nice breakfast & nice view, table tennis in the game room, wellness looks good, but it was too hot to give it a try. The senior waiter in the restaurant was very rude and behaved questionable towards guest and other staff. The room was very hot.

The host made an increadible effort to meet our needs and make our stay comfortable and pleasant. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, especially the breakfast terrace with a view. This is a charming and hospitable place in the heart of a beautiful landscape that we will be coming back to.

It was a bit hard to find, and as the hotel is behind a church, but in a beautifull area, with a beautifull view to the river. We received a room upgrade with sauna and jackuzzy pool, so it was beautiful. The breakfast was perfect, the personal is helpfull. Over all it is a great hotel, in a really beautifull environment.
