This is a truly unique hotel that offers a rich historical and cultural atmosphere. The suite, complete with a kitchenette, provides a comfortable and home-like stay. The beautifully maintained gardens and historic surroundings are fascinating to explore and add greatly to the overall experience. The complimentary self-service laundry facilities are also a valuable convenience. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, along with several local specialties, providing guests with an enjoyable and well-rounded dining experience. It is a big surrounding and a lot of garden areas. However some areas/buildings may need refreshing to enhance ever better experiences

Very well maintained hotel. Rooms felt new despite the fac hotel not being so. the whole hotel ifact felt recently renovated. Near perfect maintenance. great breakfast buffet. what added most to the hotel was the expansive grounds with well curated plants. Really big place, just outside was a busy road and not that many eateries. The hotel being built like a palace maintained privacy once inside!

What impressed us most was the hotel's excellent location. Many of Suzhou's main attractions are easily accessible, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. The hotel grounds are truly beautiful and surprisingly spacious. Walking around feels more like strolling through a traditional Chinese garden than staying at a city hotel. The atmosphere is peaceful, elegant, and very relaxing. We would also like to highlight the friendly and professional staff, who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be the sheer size of the hotel. It is genuinely enormous, and for the first two days we regularly got lost in what felt like a maze of corridors. That said, even these little adventures turned out to be enjoyable because every corner seemed beautiful and interesting. Getting lost here was actually part of the experience!

Hotel itself is large and very nice. Lots of amenities like a kids play area, laundry, and access to the Panmen garden. Room was spacious and clean. Limited wi-fi reach and for some reason, our AC wasn’t working inside the room.

Large, historical hotel property next to one of Suzhou’s must see historical sights. Given it’s a large hotel, noise level is excessive particularly in the lobby. It’s getting a bit dated which needs refurbishment. Cleaning staff needs to be more attentive, for example, there were dust and hairs behind washroom’s open door, when it’s closed, one can see the floor was not vacuumed.

Very spacious property with access to the PanMen park. Staff are helpful and provide good service. It was quite big we got lost finding a way out of the hotel!
