This a classic-hotel above a pub. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was useful, although there is only a microwave and no cooker. The wi-fi worked well. The water adjustments in the showers were touchy--suddenly the shower would go cold or hot. Being in an area with many pubs, there was some noise from the street late into the night.

Location is good. Nice and close to a lot of places. Stay were polite and helpful too No air conditioning, Room is small and hot. Shower is awful, no water pressure, a lot of stairs to go up if you have luggage, there's no elevator. Got to walk up about 5 flights of stairs to get to your room.

I liked that I was in the middle of downtown. The place had roaches, something g was leaking from the top of my door, my room didn’t not have a bathroom I had to go down the hallway to use the bathroom. I actually want a refund or some type of compensation for all this mishap.

Friendly staff Nice balcony Central Location Quiet room Windows in room do not open, so it gets a bit stuffy.

I stayed in a double room with a view of Taylor Square. The double bed was super comfortable & there was a handy sink in the room plus a bar fridge, clothes hanging space, an iron & hair dryer & really quiet & efficient air conditioning. There was also a kitchenette and bathrooms just across the hall & a little open balcony with chairs & ferns right next door. I brought ear plugs with me but didn't use them as the double glazed window pane kept out most of the traffic noise. The location was great - nice streets to walk around with lots of cafes, places of interest & plenty of buses nearby. The shared bathrooms were fine, with nice old tiles, but one of the showers did not work at all & I do think it would be worth replacing the old bath mats with some new ones. The kitchenette had tea, coffee, milk, plenty of plates, cups, a kettle & toaster & two microwaves, but hardly any cutlery & no spoons or tea towels at all. Also, there are quite a few stairs to climb to get to the first and second floor rooms & there is no lift for those who need easier accessibility.

Perfect location, clean and new rooms They only gave us 1 key to get into the hotel and to the room. Not enough for 3 people
