The only thing I suggest is giving more food in the breakfast and extending the hours. But it was good overall.

We went in January and now we went again and the truth is that it is much better and more organized.

Poor hygiene and bad service. They charged us $10 for towels but never gave them to us, nor did they refund the money. There was no one at reception to make complaints. There was no breakfast either. I do not recommend it.

The kitchen is very poorly organised, we understand that it has just opened and has a lot of improvements to make. There were several days that we could not eat because there was no space to sit because it was raining outside or because the cooking utensils were not clean. They should do a better job of checking the cleanliness of the kitchen as it was the only serious fault we saw in the hostel.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Front Desk Worker Michael was very personable, and greeted every Guest that walks through the entrance. He offered recommendations of places to see and eat. Overall, Michael embodies the 'Australian Hospitality' and deserves to get recognition for his great customer service. Also, this place is in a great location to everything from restaurants to bars. I understand that this Hostel is currently going through major renovations. But being in a hot room with no fans, and no window screens which allows bloodsucking mosquitos to feast at you at all hours of the night isn't very comforting. At times, I thought about sleeping in the common area on top floor because there's always a good breeze with cool air coming in.
