Bulla regia is a dépendance of the Futura village. The rooms are nice, the cleaning happened daily, and it's very close to the beach. If you decide to pay extra for the benefits that visitors of the Futura village get, the swimming pools are clean and well kept (one of them is unsupervised, though) and the local beach club has a very nice beach. Breakfast is great and lunch and dinner were good enough There are equally many things that weren't great: - Fontane Bianche is a dead village: because of the rise of tourist villages, all local facilities (supermarket, bars, restaurants) died out. It's like walking through a ghost town. Good luck finding a restaurant that is not in the village to eat something at a reasonable price - Because of this, the hotel feels free to charge a nice sum for the benefits above (swimming pool, lunch/dinner, beach) because they know you have no other way of getting anything. While meals were all-you-can-eat, they're 25€ per person. Access to the beach is 10€ per day. Swimming pool and poolside bar are 21€ per person (valid for the total stay) Not a problem of the hotel, but - if you want to visit Syracuse and Noto, trains are sparse and don't run very late. Car rental is adviced (and that too you'll find in the hotel, at a price) - The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station: get the shuttle, rent a car, or some other way to get there (especially if you have lots of luggage)
