Dream 12 Hotel

The staff at the hotel were just delightful. There was a vibe to the place I quite liked and it is in a very peaceful setting with so much within walking distance to include Taichung Park. Stores and places to eat were even closer.

* Friendly service * AC in the room * Comfortable bed -- I slept very well * Desk, fridge and kettle in the room My booking confirmation also mentioned balcony and views which there were not. (In fact, my room had an unaccesible balcony behind the couch.)

I loved the location and the city views and the mountains on the distance. The personnel here are exceptional. I have had many questions and they all have been patient and kind in helping me. You are in proximity to so much here. I may be a bit old to be commenting on vibe but this place has a very real one.

Clean room and comfort bed

A word of warning for fellow travelers: it's either false advertising and/or a mismanaged situation; the room (the whole hotel) is on the 12th floor with great views of the city, which is one of its selling points. The room type I reserved had "city view/mountain view" listed under its details; however, when I arrived, the room I was given faced a wall (therefore, even the room's window glass was opaque, as there was nothing outside). When I inquired if I could be switched to another room, as I had reserved for a whole week and intended to work remotely in the room, I was told it would cost an extra 35%. Only 2-3 rooms in the hotel have this problem (room 1218, 1219...). Attached is an image of the "city view/mountain view" as well as the floor plan of the hotel—check what room you are paying for! For those of you who really want control over the view, note that the left corridor of the "V" floor layout points north; therefore, the sun and city are oriented accordingly. unfortunately tainted the whole stay, as otherwise it was a nice place.

1. The location is good if you have a motorcycle or a car. It’s easy to park nearby. 2. The overall cleanliness is fair enough. 3. The softness of the bed is just right. 1. The smell of the sewer was all over the room, and little flies were flying out from the toilet/sewer everywhere. (The picture was taken when I just entered the room without using) 2. The water pressure wasn’t enough to consistently provide water for showering. (so the water temperature went either too hot or too cold) 3. The noise isolation was not good enough that ou can hear music playing, people’s talking & giggles from other rooms. 4. (Not a real issue here) But that’s barely to call a balcony btw. And for the services, the staff were nice in general. But it’s somehow impolite to compel me to rate 10/10 right in front of her when checking out, instead of sincerely asking me how my stay was.

The bed was comfy and the common area is nice. There was a super strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, it was so strong and intense that even with closed door you could smell it in the room. I woke up with a headache. Fortunately we only stayed two nights. But this is unacceptable. Even if the problem is due to the old building, you need to fix this before you can host guests again.

Room size is appropriate. Hair dryer had strong airflow, very efficient Shower water pressure was a bit weak. There were some water stains visible on the ceiling.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING The building was run down the elevator was taped up and broken Our room was STINKING VERY BADLY couldn’t bear the smell felt like throwing up had to cover our noses when using the restroom The room was also very dusty, and when we asked the cleaning staff to clean our room, they only change the towels. They didn’t make the bed or even try to fix the smell. Also, they didn’t empty the trash or replenish the coffee / tea

The rooms weren’t soundproof so we could hear noise from the hallway.

Quiet and clean. Compact but efficient. It is along a shady street with canal and walkable to mall and night market in 20 minutes. Coffee in room did not taste good, because it had sugar and powder milk in it. Sugar and milk should be provided separately for tea and coffee. Coffee at reception desk too costly, it should not be more than 50 ntd.. Convenience store coffee is cheaper and within a block of the hotel.

The room was poorly cleaned (long hair on the floor, the sink wasn't clean). After the re-cleaning, the sink was still not clean. The room was very small, and you could hear the neighbors.

The bed is big; Cheap. At night, I could hear the noise of pipes. In the morning and late evening, the staff plays music through a speaker in the corridor. The building feels a bit rundown, as do some of the other residents. For example, an older man in the elevator was visibly upset and angrily pressing buttons when we stopped him on his way down. While the location is central, it’s not particularly convenient for shopping, restaurants, malls, or convenience stores—you always have to walk a bit to reach them and rely on other means of transportation.

They have 24HRS coffee and water machine and snack in public area. The view is nice, nice view skyline. high point i would say the bed is really comfortable (above average) kind of difficult to find as a frequent traveler. the room is not that big, difficult to place luggage and no place to hang clothes. The room is not that clean. Sometimes can't flash the toilet. Water pressure in shower room is too low. Internet is not good, sometimes access point to internet disappeared.

Loved the style, the room was perfect size, plenty of outlets and wonderful common space with free coffee! I left my suitcase before the check-in time and the staff was kind enough to move it into my room while I was out.

Nice common room, friendly staff, clean room and window to open Unfortunately the room was smelling a bit and bathroom was smelling horrible. Due to that we couldn'd enjoy our stay. Everything else was fine.
