De Provintia Straat B&B

The place was very spacious: completely opposite from our experience in Japan. Love the double toilets! The shower/bathroom combo: air doesnt circulate so it got musty wui kly. We used the fan that was in the room to “air dry” the area.

Such a beautiful hostel, with the sweetest host, Maggie! She was so helpful at check-in, telling me all the great things about the city…she even cut up some fresh mango for me. The hostel was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and designed in such a stunning way. Highly recommend!

Fantastic host! Thank you so much Maggie for a lovely stay- she treated me so well, I felt that I was at home. The place is very beautiful, super clean and great location in the center of the city. Beds were fantastic along with free laundry!

The hostel is beautifully organized. There are sizeable lockers for your bag, a towel is provided, the bed is private and the mattress is very comfortable! The host was very kind and welcoming! She shared tips about the city. Laundry is available as well! Nothing!

This was my first time staying a hostel so my guard was up as they dont have the best reputations. This B&B completely exceeded my expectations, the host welcomed me with so much joy and happiness that it was contagious. I was welcomed with a map of the area, which is perfectly located in the center and easily accessible when walking. She shared a list of all the recommendations, whether that be food, drinks, night markets, and shops. The B&B itself was EXACTLY like the pictures. Everything was incredibly clean and pristine and organized so perfectly it just all made sense. You can see the effort and time that's put into maintaining this space. There were even snacks, drinks, and other maps for the area avaliable for guests along with storage for the larger luggage, which was incredibly helpful. I would completely recommend staying in the B&B and I will be coming back with my friends as well! Thank you <3

It would be great to have a hook or small stool outside the shower to keep clothes dry, etc while showering.

The hostel is located on the main road, so it's pretty safe. The interior of the building wowed me. It has the most beautiful natural lighting during the day and has good lighting during the night compared with my stay in other hostels. The owner/staff is friendly, and she is there most of the time. The common area provides some light snacks which is very heart-warming. Nearby has a bus stop which can head to Tainan train station, very convenient! The check-in timing cannot be later than 7 pm. So if the traveller is hard to predict their arrival time, this may be a challenge. I also find it a bit confusing that there's no specific area for the outdoor shoes. The shoes we wear outdoors can enter the room. What if it's smelly? What if it's raining outside, wouldn't it be wet and dirty all over the place, even in the room? I think this part can be improved! During the summer time, the policy for laundry service - cannot use the dryer. It might be something you need to consider during your stay.

Convenient location and amazing facilities. Everything was clean and the room is really pretty. The big bath is a huge luxurious plus. I did not meat the host Maggie, but she shared a lot of useful tips through chat, which was really helpful.

Beautifully decorated hostel with a very helpful and kind owner! Great beds with a large locker, free laundry, clean bathroom with toiletries, soap, etc. My favorite hostel I stayed in during my trip to Taiwan! She even prepared a plate of fresh local fruit for me to try before leaving.

Home like, comfortable and chill

Great location, close to all major landmarks. Amazing interior design. Maggie tuned her home into a B&B jewel. She’s also really helpful and kind. One of those places I would definitely stay again. It’s like a home away from home. All was perfect.
