Value was amazing. Two nights in a double room with large, comfortable, twin beds and a semi-private balcony was only about $100 US. The location - near downtown, several retail streets, and the beach, yet just a couple of blocks away from traffic and lights - was private enough while still providing easy access for more touristy stuff. Staff was very helpful. Rooms clean and the private bathroom modernly apportioned (no washlet though). Many TV channels provided - including CNN and a couple of movie channels with English titles. Would stay there again. Communication through booking.com was not good. No electric kettle or fridge in the room. Would have been a huge help if the staff could have emailed a pdf or some other document with location info in Cantonese to show taxi drivers.

my room was very spacious! It is clean and has a nice balcony with the view over Taitung City. It has a share kitchen on the R floor. Owner was very friendly and helpful. I wish there's a water boiler in my room. It's such a big room but not much items being provided. Everything is in the share kitchen on the top floor. If you want to drink tea you have to go upstair to use the water boiler. It's not a big issue just slightly inconvenience.

No breakfast, the location was decent and didn't matter much since we rented a car. We found lots of hair in the towel after showering, and bugs on the wall and ground. There was no hand soap.

The room is very spacious and there is a view on the town and the mountains. The management put the minimalist design up the the maximum. One chair in a double room, no cupboard or place to hang clothes except one hook, same in the bathroom. Also, fair price, quiet location, enough shops, cafes and restaurants around and 15 minutes walk from the station. The lady at the reception is very friendly and so is the cleaning staff. The communication through the Booking Chat is poor. No answer, finally after Google translate a poor and insufficient the most beautiful picture of the property on the roof top is not part of the publicly accessible places. There is a lancing but before you know it m, someone from another room stands in front of your window, smoking his cigarette… no possibility to pay with credit card.

The older lady spoke English quite well. It was a lovely, happy reception. The bed was huge and comfortable. I forgot.

clean, quiet, friendly, small pillows, no hot water heaters in the room for tea or coffee but in the staircase of every other floor, hot water in the shower doesn’t last very long.
