The rooms were miniscule and there was nowhere to put luggage. 2 suitcases and two people want really practical. Most hotels have under bed storage but not this one

Location, Bfast, parking Bunk bed, smaller shower/toilet, pillows

The location and ease of check in was great. I loved being able to grab a softer pillow. Maybe there was a button? But there was an automatic light that went on if we got up to use the bathroom and it stayed on for a while. It drove us crazy. For such a small room, nothing should be motion activated.

The hotel was centrally located and was a 5 minute walk to Takayama Train station and Bus Terminal. It was economical and the included breakfast was good. The sensor light in the room was very sensitive and went on in the middle of the night with the slightest of movements. Reception knew of the issue and provided us with tape to put over it the 2nd night of our stay which resolved the issue.

Standard hotel with great location close to train station. You can walk to all sights in about 20 min or less or you can take a bus. I had a single room with a very small bathroom. It is a good hotel for short stays, but I would want a bigger room and bathroom for longer stays. A great item was the laundry has a link to the TV so you can see in your room when your machine is finished and when a washer or dryer is available. The bathroom is very small in a single room. It reminded me of a ship's bathroom. It would be very uncomfortable for a tall or large person.

The room was clean and spacious and the hotel feels nice and like it has been renovated recently. The onsen situation is inconvenient. There is only one, so men and women must use it at separate times, meaning you can’t bathe whenever you want. The available hours are limited, and the space is so small that even with just three people, it feels overcrowded. Another issue we encountered was the heating. We arrived early and were allowed to wait in the lobby, but despite the heavy snow outside, the staff refused to turn on the heating or the lights until 3 PM, even though we asked. This meant waiting for more than an hour in the cold with a young child. The drink machines were also closed during this time. I understand rules, but this level of rigidity felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. I had another reservation here for next week, as I visit Takayama frequently for work, but I’ve canceled it. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying here again.

Breakfast choice can be more variety will be best Space abit but small

Just outside the hotel, there is a small cafe run by an old Japanese lady. We loved our coffee and deserts there. Would recommend it if you crave good coffee after the breakfast buffet (it has machine coffee). Breakfast was just decent. But it was included in the reasonable price we paid, so can't complain much.
