Traveller Bunker Hostel 1

I stayed here as an runner for CULTRA 2026 from 17–19 July 2026. The property was awesome. The location is near the event area and close to everything I needed—food, water, and jajan. To be honest, if I’m selected for the event again, I’ll most probably stay here again. Anyway, this was my second time staying here, so that should say something. I think the whole experience was tarnished because of Room 303. 1. The room is on the 3rd floor. Walking up after the gruelling Berembun trail will make you think twice before going up and down, even for a quick smoke break. 2. I was assigned the top bunk. Wrong choice. I might be healthy, and I might be a runner, but climbing onto the bed using those tiny horizontal metal bars is mental. I could literally feel it in my brain. 3. The room has a balcony. And, being typical Malaysians, we left the balcony door open to let the cool air in. Big mistake. The noise from the bar downstairs kept interrupting our rest. I counted the birthday song being sung 10 times in one night. On top of that, the cooking smells from the restaurant downstairs—some might say wonderful, but not when you’re trying to sleep—made the experience even worse. 4. The worst part of all was the hot water. We barely had any. I think it was due to low water pressure. This is something that really shouldn’t happen. I even complained to the staff, but I guess there wasn’t much they could do. Luckily, I’m not a fan of hot showers, so I still enjoyed the super-duper cold shower. But I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for everyone else.

I could feel the springs in the masters, don’t choose a bed with a window because there is a lot of noises coming from outside (fireworks, people talking, cars, etc)

Great location in Cameron Highlands. The staff is friendly and the tours offered are quite good. Facilities are clean and the lounge areas are nice. Great if you're just staying in the area for a few nights. Only one shared bathroom/shower in the mix dorms but it didn't really affect us.

Good location, nice staff The mattress sucked, and the bathroom did aswell. You had to press the shower for water and the whole bathroom was wet. And nog enough toilets.

Great location. It doesn’t have a stove/oven (only microwave). Bathroom was inside the room (6 fem dorm), which is a bit annoying (but you can use toilets on the other floor if needed). The room was pretty small (not enough space for all the backpacks). Common areas are average. It’s ok for a couple of nights.

Staff was friendly enough. The bathrooms were good by hostel standards. It was clean. Sorry to be negative (hate to do it to a business) but it was so uncomfortable. The mattress was basically made from paper it was so thin. I didn’t sleep at all. When I arrived the latch on my window was broken so I was freezing the whole night and could hear a lot of noise despite earplugs. They only give you a blanket instead of duvet which I hate. Sorry but it is bad value for the price, expected much better for a 4 star place. I ended up leaving a night early to go to a nearby hotel which was much nicer for the same price, private room and bathroom etc.

Really a good place to meet new people

In Loved everything about the hostel. Cleanliness is given top priority. Bathroom is inside the dorm so you've complete privacy. It's close to everything. As a guest, you can get 10% discount at the cafe called Hidden Lab (highly recommended) located in the building opposite. The bed was very comfortable so slept wonderfully. Various kinds of tours are available if interested. Would definitely stay here if I got the chance to visit again. Nothing. Would have loved to stay longer if I'd had time.

Easy to find, near restaurants, staff was helpful No elevator, the door to the all women’s dorm didn’t shut and it was off the lounge/drink area. Beds were uncomfortable , no ac and small fan in bunk was broken. Could smell the cigarette smoke in my bunk since the smoking area was downstairs outside.

Only location is good Very small bunker, they are cheaters, they take the stay amount 2 times, one time through Booking and time through reception, when asked them why, they said that Booking money will be returned to me, but nothing was returned.

Clean such a little space where I can put my backpack.

The bunk bed with the window was shit! Like you share a window with another person and whenever they close it off yours will be off too. All night ppl walk in and off the bathroom and cause noises - so no good sleep! Staff aren’t that helpful. Too much ppl in 1 bedroom like 18 people breathing in 1 single room plus a bathroom with 2 doors - a great combination for a horrible smell lol

Welcoming staff, easy set up and check-in. If you missed to bring your towel or else, you can rent it there. Nothing.
