Sonesta Select Tempe Downtown

I booked a room and it said it wasn't refundable which was fine so my total came out to 111 and I paid that. So wen I got there to get my room apparently there was a 100$ deposit and my card got declined. My receipt never said or showed a 100$ deposit fee so even tho I already paid for the room I couldn't get my money back. I had the 100$ in cash to pay for the deposit but she said I couldn't pay for it bc it had to be on the same card as the room fee so I cudnt get my room. It would be nice if I cud get atleast half my money back bc I didn't even get to stay. So it was wasted money, but of course y'all prob don't care enough to help someone back with there money bc they cudnt get their room

Great AC, super comfy beds, clean bathrooms with good soaps, easy access to room and parking lot, great location

Good location if you’re visiting ASU. Room, lobby, and pool are nice for the price. I would stay there again if I need to visit Tempe/ASU campus.

Eh. Obviously it’s neat ASU so it’s not going to be nice. But the no AC in the lobby was rough. I felt bad for the staff that was trying their best. Outside of the rooms the property was gross and hot inside the room it was great but dated and old.

Tub stained w/ dirt. I put a towel down when taking my showers. I cant do dirty tubs, its gross. Tub was also broken. Maintenance had to replace the entire faucet at 9am, waking my twin boys. TV is OLDDDD! Used my iPad to entertain the babies. No Ms. Rachel😩😂 Naw, thats not even funny, fr. Bc why aren’t Smart tv’s in the rooms in this day & age. They are so inexpensive. It was basic cable, I think. Patio was filled w/ bird poop so I didn’t use it and pool seemed under construction or being cleaned in my 2nd . (There was yellow tape) Pro’s: Location! Whole Foods is walking distance. ASU area. Very convenient. No complaints. Starbucks in Lobby but hours of operation suck. I believe by 9 am they do close for the day and the Espresso machine was broken during my stay. All staff were Amazingly kind & wonderful. Bed & pillows were comfortable & clean.

Interior halls seemed pretty outdated but rooms were nice.

Great location near campus food and drink

Location just a couple blocks from Mill Ave and a few more to ASU. Perfect location for a school visit, or freshman drop-off in our case. Great rate for a clean room and good service.

Great place to stay! Walking distance to downtown so super convenient.

Staff were helpful. I did not have timeframes to use the meal service. Asked for a quiet room and I got put past about 40 or more rooms at end of corridor. Almost too far with heavy suitcases but I am younger. If an older person had to walk that far they would be disappointed in room distance from any elevator. Thank you

Superb

Initial room’s bathroom was a disaster. Looked like DIY handyman work had been done shoddily. Plumber’s tape and poor installation in addition to water damage and mildew was prevalent. Shower pressure was low and erratic. Had to request room change to solve it — second room was better.

The air conditioning was not working properly.

I never stayed there because I didn't have my $100 deposit so they also never gave me a refund after telling me I was going to get my refund
