When I booked the hotel they told me include breakfast, but after I checked in they told me no breakfast included They have tiny little roll of toilet paper, so I had to call them twice a day to get more toilet paper

The room comes with a baths which is a nice feature for China, a fridge, safe and an emergency torch. The layout of the room is nice. The breakfast is adequate but the dishes were already a little cold at 7:30 (breakfast runs 7-9). The rooms was equipped with an old style air conditioning unit which wouldn't control the temperature properly. My wife's pillow caused her problems. The hotel claims to provide a gym and a pool but in fact these are public facilities. The gym was great but the pool space is very limited and makes having a real swim troublesome. The gym opens 9am-10pm.

Hotel in full center and close to Hai He river. Silent rooms. Métro station just in front. Wudadao at 5 minutes walk. Valuable place. Hotel still in Covid mode: some area close, no restaurant. Room ok but 80th style.

Reasonably good service. Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Relatively easy staff to interact with. Confusing elevator system. It takes some time to get the floors. The furniture needs upgrading.

Location is good for subway and center of town. The rooms are comfortable. Everything is dated and small. This is nowhere near 5 a star hotel, more like an old four star in danger of dropping to three unless they update everything substantially. We visited during COVID, and so the hotel seemed empty. Check-in was very burdensome, though this is mostly because of TJ city-wide COVID restrictions which were the tightest of the few cities we have travelled to in recent months. Breakfast was particularly sad, with few choices and nothing very good—though perhaps it would be better when the hotel has more business? Still, we all noted that we would have been happier breakfasting at KFC next door—not something you usually say about a 5 star hotel!

Central location convenient to metro, shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet included fresh fruit. Carpet in the room hadn’t seen a vacuum cleaning in ages, and was covered in hair and dirt, while windows still covered in mud from a 4-week old sand storm ruined the view. Bathtub had a strange drain device that prevented baths and the bed had only two pillows. Breakfast coffee was unfit to drink and the bread tasted several days old.

The fantastic location is literally the only reason to stay at this hotel The room was old with peeling wallpaper, worn furnishings and broken sockets. No foreign TV channels. We had to get our fridge replaced as it didn't work. As I walked around the room my slippers picked up all the long hair that was on the carpet, so it obviously hadn't been cleaned. It was unbearably hot and stuffy and the windows only opened a crack, and there was no air conditioning so there was nothing we could do, so we hardly slept. Breakfast was absolutely shocking - the room was dark and dingy, there was hardly any food (this was an hour and a half before the end), what there was was entirely Chinese and most of it had no labels, they refused to make more until I made a fuss, then the grumpy staff complained and chatted rudely about 'foreigners' the whole time. There is only one lift for the entire hotel. The receptionist did not put on his mask even after we mentioned he was not wearing one, and didn't even ask why we were leaving early. We had booked for three nights but moved to the Holiday Inn and Suites, which was the same price, after one.
