The beds were not very comfortable; the mattresses could be improved for a better night’s sleep.

The facility has a pool gets hit by the sun. They have a small gym perfect for small workouts that is part of the facility. Breakfast is included and is always delicious. The surf classes that are offered does have seasoned instructors that records the student so they can access them individually. There is always hostel events on most days. The rooms have air-conditioning and storage for backpacks. The beds are very comfortable. Never had a bad night of sleep. The facility is kept cleaned and the cleaning service cleans the rooms everyday. The location is away from town but by 2 minutes and most of the beaches are still accessible by walking. The facility staff are very helpful and will meet your needs. If I ever go back to Pipa, definitely booking again. Mosquitos, but that is everywhere in Brazil.

I loooveeee it!!! :) Even before arriving at the hostel, the communication over the App was great :) When I arrived, the check-in process was with a very professional & friendly receptionist :) They provided me with all the information I needed, being added to a WhatsApp group for the daily activities :) They were very communicative and happy to help and accommodate your needs :) The whole team was great, from the cleaners, the cooks, the receptionist, the surf instructors, the activities organiser :) The Surf classes with a diverse team of instructors every morning were very professional and fun :) The breakfast was very abundant and good for veggie people like me :) There was filtered water to refill your water bottle all the time :) The swimming pool to chill after surfing and even in the evening was super :) The free massage I got for booking 4 surfing lessons was the best I've had in a long time :) The view from the dorm balcony to the swimming pool & chilling area, with a hammock to lie down on, made a big difference to the quality of my rest in a hostel dorm with five other ladies :) The location is great because it is very closed to the main road, where the vans come and go, and you find everything, but a bit off up the hill were is very quite. That location makes it very close to a couple of beaches :)

Excellent staff and fantastic breakfast. The surf camp is really the reason to stay here, and it’s truly top quality. The coaches are great and the video analysis is an interesting element to your experience that you won’t find at most surf camps. Comfortable and clean and the vibes are right. Recommend.

Great for solo travelers! The people you meet at the hostel are often traveling solo and open to meet other people as well. This is really the highlight of this place as you can meet people easily and form a nice group to hangout with at Pipa quite quickly. They have a lot of boards for rental which is also nice. The staff at the reception were all kind and helpful. The cats hanging around the hostel are super cute and get rid of most bugs that inevitably end up there. Being able to check in at any time was also really nice. I don't usually write bad reviews, but I was kind of disappointed about my stay here after hearing so much about this place: - The beds are not very comfortable and you have no privacy in your bed, no curtain or anything - I found a cockroach in my room on two separate occasions - Forget sleeping after 8 AM, especially if you're in one of the rooms in front of the pool. I was woken up on several occasions at 7/8AM with the surf teachers shooting the football on the wall of my dorm and playing loud music - The pool didn't work from day one and during my entire stay. I went by the hostel on my last day (total of 10 days in Pipa) and it still wasn't working despite them saying it was just being cleaned and would be available in one or two days after my arrival - The AC is problematic, it drips and people can't agree whether to turn it on or off and what temperature it should be at. Some people were cold, some people were hot and lots of people ended up getting sick from this turning on / off the AC - The board rental process is a mess. While the process with Surf's Up was new, staff doesn't check who rents what board. I ended up in a situation where I rented a board for a couple days in a row and some of the days I couldn't surf with it because someone else took it without a reservation - I didn't take surf lessons, but some of the surf teachers hanging around the hostel were not that nice or welcoming If you are a solo traveler, I would recommend staying here for 1 or 2 nights to meet people. Then find a room somewhere else where you will be more comfortable and at peace if you can afford it.

Pipa is a paradise. The hostel location is nice, quick walk to goto surf at the beach in the center. The pets are lovely. Breakfast is nice but its the exact same stuff every single day. After day 3 it gets little boring Nice to have a pool and a gym. This is not really a surf camp, its a cheap pousada that also offers surf lessons. There is absolutely zero surfcamp/hostel vibe at this place. We were there 6 days, most of the staff were always busy on their phones and there was no one hanging out in the common area. We didn't take the lessons but the boards they have for rent are pretty crap. The rooms are a bit run down. Crappy wifi. The fan in room 1 barely works. And the one in room 3 sounds like a jet engine and on day 2 it broke. And right above room 3 there is some motor which sounds like someone is drilling into the walls and turns on and off every couple of minutes all day and all night long. The shower in room 2 has barely any water. The sinks in the bathrooms are almost blocked. In Pipa for this price you can get a very nice Airbnb apartment or Pousada with a sea view.

Amazing place to stay. Great people, location, vibes and activities. The room is not any luxury, but it has everything you need. Air con to hold the heat and a toilet oer bedroom. The best thing about Arara is the feeling of being home. The staff is very friendly, same for the guests...everyone just brings the vibes. The surf classes are great, offering transportation, and video analysis. Everything was just great!! Thank you, guys, for everything, and ao will definitely coming back. ?

Everything was really great, starting from the stuff that was super friendly and always up to some fun, a lot of them spoke English as well. The rooms were cleaned everyday. There were always some special events planned by the hostel, where you could decide to join or not.
