Extremely well kept, quite, clean and stocked with essential amenities. The owners were extremely polite and accommodating, walkable distance from the trains and plenty eateries/ convince stores. Extra points for the best sleep of our entire trip on the 4 nights we spent here. 10/10 recommended

Spacious Japanese style room with tatami mats and a lovely separate sleeping space where our futons were laid out. It was exceptionally comfortable for sleeping. Hotel is tucked away off the busy main street so it's quiet too. The location was perfect for us - a lively neighbourhood with tons of food options, Don Quijote, and very close to the train station. We walked to Shinjuku from here and it was fun to explore some of the surrounding streets. The staff were always kind and welcoming and even carried my giant luggage that I couldn't manage up the stairs. Would definitely stay again!

This was already my 4th time staying here in Tokyo, and honestly, this place never disappoints. ??✨ Every time I come back, the experience is still just as good as the first time — maybe even better. The rooms are always very clean, spacious, and comfortable, even for 2 people with large luggage. Everything is well-maintained, the atmosphere feels cozy, and after a long day exploring Tokyo, it genuinely feels nice coming back here to rest. But what really makes this place special for me is the service. The staff here are incredibly helpful every single time. During this trip, they even helped arrange the delivery of both of our large luggage bags from Tokyo to Kyoto. They handled the whole process for us from start to finish — we literally just paid and they took care of everything else. It made traveling between cities so much easier and stress-free. That level of hospitality and care is honestly one of the main reasons why I keep choosing to stay here again and again whenever I visit Tokyo. Another thing I love is the location in Shin-Okubo. The area is super lively with so many restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, Don Quijote, shopping spots, and food places everywhere. Even late at night, the neighborhood still feels energetic but safe to walk around. And despite being in such a vibrant area, it’s also incredibly convenient — only around 10 minutes to Shinjuku. If anyone is looking for a comfortable, convenient, and genuinely service-minded place to stay in Tokyo, I really recommend this place so much. Definitely one of my favorite stays in Tokyo every single trip. ☁️ Perfect ?

Nothing.

The room is big enough for a family of 3 (couple + baby) and the room size allowed for my baby to roam around to explore. Around the area had many eateries and places to get food from and it's about a 5 min walk from 2 different stations. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Would recommend for families. Oh they had coin operated washing machine and dryer too. Not much to complain, just know that the place has no lift to the upper floors.

7 minute walk to Shin Okubo Station. Staff super helpful. Great water pressure and hot water! Was cleaned daily. They help with reservations and luggage forwarding. Room is SMALL but we were 3.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hotel itself is badly in need of cleaning and repair so there was no too much they were able to do to help. They have no larger rooms so our family had to split across two - one on the first floor and one on the third floor. Our rooms both smelled absolutely awful, but each in a different way. The first floor room smelled badly of mildew while the third floor smelled like the worst body odor I have ever encountered. In both cases the only solution to airing out the rooms was to have the air conditioner running on cold despite the fact that it was February and freezing. This still did not remove the smell, but it at least circulated air so that it was not suffocating. It is also located down a rather unpleasant alley that was not nice to walk in the evenings with our children.

With ~ $120/ night in Tokyo, that better than you thought you can get. the hotel very close to the station. You only need to walk 10 mins. And that hotel close to main street where have all the food - restaurant that you need. Staff so friendly. Hight recommend

The fact that this is our third time staying here in two years really says everything about how much we enjoy this place. We stayed here twice in 2024 and came back again on this trip because it’s consistently been a great experience. The location is perfect—very convenient and close to the Yamanote Line, which makes getting around Tokyo incredibly easy. The area also feels very safe, which we always appreciate when traveling. Overall, it’s a reliable and comfortable place to stay, and we would definitely come back again on future trips. None.

Location was fine off the main Shin Okubo road. Check in was easy with the staff manning the front desk 24-7. It seems like a family owned place and the people there are really nice. Room is fine. Tatama mats and simple mattress was fine. Enough room for storage. OK, not much walking around room but better than a lot of places. Cheap price for the area and Tokyo as a whole. Would stay here again Small table and need to sit cross legged to eat and drink in the room. It was expected and this is fine. Laundry facilities on the 4th floor need improving. The washer is fine but the dryer is awful. You have to go out and get clothes dry at an external place (3 min away). So overall not bad

I really liked the customer service, ambience, and decor of the hotel. Close to many restaurants, bus stops, train stations, and a Donki~ For the price you pay, there is not much to not like.

The staff were all exceptionally nice, the room was cozy and really couldn’t ask for more. Amazing location, perfect if you’re looking for a few nights in Shinjuku with so many food options nearby. Thank you again! Everything amazing.

Really friendly and helpful staff. The Japanese-style room was pleasant and spacious. Good location, a short walk from both Okubo Station and Shin-Okubo Station. Would stay here again if I'm mainly sightseeing in Ikebukuro and Shinjuku.

The location is ideal and very nicely placed in a quiet neighborhood although only a few hundred meters is the train station. The room is bigger than other rooms in Japan. It is a traditional japanese room design.
