Micaela Charming Hostal

The pre-check-in communication was excellent, I got all info needed in advance. The in person reception was also great, with further more info about the area, bars, restaurants etc. I liked the water dispenser and the coffee machine at the hall. The beach was just a few minutes walk. Having coffee at the terrace was a good start of the day. I liked the ‘save the planet’ messages The shops and bars around closed late night and the street noise was loud, not just the night of the football game. The mattress was a bit soft for me.

Everything was excellent ! It is, without a joke, the cleanest, most central amazing Hostal I have ever been too ! If all hostels were like this, I would only book hostels ! Amazing job !

I write this review with honesty. We were informed that we had been upgraded to a superior room facing a quiet street. I will address that issue further in the review. The location is perfect and a couple of minutes walk will get you to the beach. However, to get to the main centre there are 188 steps uphill. There is a public lift for those less agile at €0.50 cents per ride. The hostal gives the impression of being an upmarket back packers hostal. It occupies a corner in the 'old town'. One side faces some souvenir shops and the other faces a very busy pub lined street. Our room 107 was very clean with two double beds. It had a fridge, kettle, tv (didn't work on only one UK channel), air con and ample towels. The shower was powerful and hot. Free toiletries were supplied. Free coffee was provided in the reception area via a vending machine. Giovanni checked us in with a smile and showed us the essentials. No safe deposit box, very small wardrobe. Despite being told we had been upgraded to a room 'facing a quiet street', our experience of that was poles apart from reality. The street has two bars in the immediate vicinity, the bigger of the two was immediately under our room. The noise was so loud we didn't open the balcony doors. It played loud music and rowdy customers sat outside until after midnight. Quiet it was not! If you want a relaxing holiday ask for a room on the opposite side to The Tavern and The Ship pubs. We were offered a room on the upper floor but we had already unpacked our belongings for only a two night stay. On the final night there were tourists talking loudly and laughing beneath our room from midnight until 05:45 am.

I couldn't stay longer

Staff was friendly and polite. Outstandingly clean. Very comfortable. I have nothing bad to say, I found it fabulous and look forward to going again soon.

Great location close to the beach but a short walk into town. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and do a great job keeping the place looking spotless.

Location half way with an handy elevator to center town and 59 meters from the beach Advice to all visitors. Go to the beach at 8 am and come back at 9.30 before the crowd arrive it is magic !

Great location, very central and easy to find, yet surprisingly quiet. The place looks nice, and for the price paid, there's really nothing to complain about. Highly recommended for a convenient city stay!

In a great location. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean.

Amazing location, 15mn away from the airport, beautiful area and 5mn away from the beach. The room was a good size with a nice outdoor patio. Perfect for a few night. The host was really kind and helpful. Although the description says they offer a shuttle I couldn't get one from the airport. The room was noisy, could hear the other rooms and the noise from de street. Bars are just below.

The location was fabulous. The view from. 206 was good too, three big windows and balconies looking up and down the street. Water system a bit noisy you could here the next doors room's toilet filling up but it was an old old building.

Nice place to stay.. room cleaning with new towels every day.. 5 minutes walk from the beach.. and 10 minutes to centre..

I recently stayed at Micaela Charming Hostal in Torremolinos and had a delightful experience. The hostal is situated just 100 metres from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for seaside activities. The rooms are basic but clean and functional, offering good value for money. My room was of decent size, equipped with a fridge and had a very comfortable bed. The location is excellent, just minutes away from both the town centre and the beach. The owner is friendly and very helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, the rooms are cleaned daily and are spotless, with excellent communication from the hosts. Overall, I highly recommend Micaela Charming Hostal for its prime location, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere.​
