The house is in a wonderful, quiet location. The apartments are tastefully designed. It was a pleasure to relax by the large pool in the back garden. I would like to mention the breakfasts prepared and served by the great host, Lionel.

If you have a job that involves lots of human interaction or work in an environment which is particularly loud and you would like some peace and quiet then this is the place for you. Lionel's place is a great place to disconnect and do some thinking and reading. The electric bikes are great but note that there is a (sensible) 8:30pm curfew to avoid traveling on narrow and windy roads in the dark. Helpfully the bikes have baskets (for all of your wine and cheese essentials!). The small and beautiful village of Tourette Sur Loup is 10 minutes by bike and Vence is 15 minutes by bike. Perfect places to visit for lunch/dinner. Most guests hire a car but we prefer to avoid it if possible; the electric bikes made this possible. If there is another couple at the property at the same time with the same desire to use the bikes then you will need to compromise. Breakfast was a treat each morning and Lionel gave us some useful tips too. Lionel is a friendly, low-profile host and it was a pleasure to stay at his abode. Notification prior to arrival of the 8:30pm bike return policy (this may have been in the description, apologies if so!) would have been advantageous.

The property was exactly what we were expecting, very calm and relaxing. The pool is fantastic and the outdoor kitchen is perfect for daytime snacks and drinks - made it easy to stay by the pool all day! The breakfast is great and Lionel couldn’t do enough for us! Everything was brilliant, Lionel is a fantastic host

The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was well designed. Breakfast was delicious and served at a time which suited us. There was a lot which didn't meet our expectations though. It felt more like we were staying at someone's private home (they even had a family christening around the pool area all day on Saturday with 30 friends and family so we felt we had to go out and couldn't relax by the pool as we wanted). We received no warning of this when we made the booking and would have stayed somewhere quieter if we had known. There was also a lovely bath but not enough hot water to fill it so I wasn't able to use it. For the money we paid, I feel we would have got a lot more in another place.
