Guesthouse B&B Garibaldi

First and foremost, the host was pleasant, cordial, and very accommodating, since I was traveling on a motorcycle to this area. The host provides a place for me to safely park my motorbike at the facility. The location was great: when you walk out the front entrance, you are in the city center, with everything within comfortable walking distance. The accommodation was suitable for my needs, as I had a fully equipped attic room. Great stay! The greatest challenge for me was finding the place as the GPS kept sending me in circles. The property was in a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), so one would have to park and walk to reach it, which was on the village's main street.

The location is perfect! The hotel is beautiful, authentic and safe. The room is nice, the bed is comfortable. We had a tv, a coffee machine and a fridge in our room - a great plus. It was nice to have free towels, shampoo, soap, some cookies, coffee, tea and water to drink The water wouldn't drain from the sink and bidet. The refrigerator was leaking. The shower was in terrible condition.

The residence is in a great location on the Via Garibaldi, which is one of the main pedestrianised streets in the centre of the old city, where many restaurants, shops etc are. It's in quite a maze of streets so you can't park very close (best car park is in Piazza Vittorio Emmanuele, about 7 minutes walk away and always has spaces - not bad price and worth getting the Easypark app). The host was friendly and easily accessible by Whatsapp if we had queries out of office hours. There's a lot of outdoor space - two large terraces .We had a room on the top floor which has a terrace only shared with one other room. The rooms are spacious - a small apartment really, with a full kitchen including nice coffee maker. It's worth noting that the residence is self-catering only (they used to do breakfast but no longer - we weren;t clear about that, though it wasn't any issue for us).

The balcony is shared and gets lots of sun, great place to chill out. The room has a kitchen, so able to cook, although we didn't. Air con is strong and works well. Bathroom and shower were acceptably clean. Location is very central, close to everything and the main streets for restaurants, drinks and the beach. Overall, good stay, central location and good price. Outdoor space is a bonus, with balcony to have drinks and relax. Wifi signal was weak in our room.
