Sea Jay Motel & Marina

The room was clean and set up nicely. Staff was very helpful and attentive to the few issues we had. The only real issue was a leaky shower head. Water pressure was superb though! The pool was great and is literally a short walk to the beach if you prefer that! This will be our go to spot for future trips to the area.

The staff were all very accommodating & kind. There were a few things that didn’t agree w me. There was an incredibly overwhelming scent of Fabuloso cleaning product that smacks you in the face when entering the room, & leaves seeped into your clothing when you leave. I genuinely could t sleep because of how strong the smell was it gave me a headache. Our sheets I have to assume were clean but were stained w what looked like blood. A discovery made in the morning with better lighting, as we didn’t go to bed until very late. The room had curtains but there was an incredibly bright light right outside that radiates around the curtain making the room bright, adding to the impossible sleep situation. We opted for the room w a “private” patio. But in fact anyone could just walk into it & view us there, there is zero fencing or privacy. The door to the patio was seemed shut so you had to use the front door to access the patio. A cockroach made its presence in the kitchen, so we had to throw away all the fresh fruit we had bought & were snacking on in fear the cockroach helped itself. When using the pool the staff was cleaning the tables w the fabuloso. Making it an unenjoyable area because of the intense scent. The air vents were very very dirty & I believe is the reason I have a cold now this week. It was a great area to stay but those details made it so we would not return.

Absolutely love this motel. The staff is wonderful! Conveniently located; only minutes from John’s Pass, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island, Sunset, and St Pete’s Beach. Plenty of shopping and food options. Already looking to book my next trip!

The place is so clean and comfortable. The only thing is we wanted to hang by the pool like most hotels let you do while you’re waiting to get in your room and it was I guess not really allowed because I sent a text and asked and my response was check-in at 4 o’clock and they weren’t busy at all so I just think because it’s such a small place, especially for local people you know to pay for the hotel and it’s not busy and it was only two of us just to use the pool and then when we came at 2 o’clock and asked it was like yeah I guess you can like it’s not allowed so we didn’t feel comfortable doing it, that is my only downfall to the place

Hit or miss. Sometimes the cleanliness is good, sometimes not. 1st time I stayed here (over 1 years ago) the place was truly amazing 👏

Everything was great. We had a wheelchair and no problems getting around.

Staff was awesome, the pool was good. Little dated. Parking was good too.

Exceptional

The motel was close by to the Satellite hotel where our other friends were at. The decor reminded me of something back in the 50's with the color scheme. I booked the family suite with 2 bedrooms & kitchenette, but didn't use most of it, only the coffee machine the next morning. This would've been helpful if it mentioned it had all the amenities in the suite, stove, microwave, refrigerator & could've brought more items to place in the refrigerator. But other than that it was very accommodating for the time that I was there with my other lady friend. The downfall with this is that it had a bathroom with a 50's pink bathtub with shower, but it didn't have any grab bars to hold onto getting in & out of the tub for safety reasons.

Everyone and everything was great except the toilet was giving me problems and I reported that.

We decided to stay another night and they were very accommodating. It’s off Gulf Blvd so quieter than most.

We enjoyed the pool and the fishing dock and met some great people. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great place to stay at a great value.

The staff was amazing and attentive. The room was exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay again. Walking distance to the beach.

The location was good. Near everything. The retro feel took me back to when I was younger the tile and bathroom tub and sink were great! We killed 2 small roaches in the bathroom. It’s Florida…. But might be time to spray???

Easy, fast & friendly check-in Clean spacious rooms with kitchenette & all utensils Large pool compared to other hotels in area Anything we needed was a text message that was seen to immediately Very strict quiet time 10pm-9am number to call if any issues after hours This was our second year at SeaJay Proximity to beach & restaurants Only thing I had an issue with was the plastic plates, dishes & cups - I understand why they have plastic but after a while they break down and have scratches which is not good for using with hot food.
