Breakfast ok, location good, The room was dark, antiquated, with no heat except portable heaters, the outlets strangely placed, no drawers, no coffee/tea facility and the shower leaked badly.
-
The pull out sofabed was a little soft and had some sagging in the middle, but it was not a big deal.

Breakfast and dinner were very good; the room was large but somewhat tired. The reception staff was missing much of the time. We had to leave without a formal checkout. We had to search the hotel for her checking in,

Not much. Breakfast buffet was acceptable but unremarkable. Dingy, dark, and run down. It was depressing to stay there as there were essentially no amenities - no shampoo, had to ask for t.p., shower drain clogged, etc.

great location, lovely old place that feels like an old palace no aircon

The location was great to access the sights of the beautiful town of Trevi. The apartment was perfect for our family and the breakfast was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly. As it was a hot day, we loved having the pool to cool off. We would definitely stay here again.

I have ordered the best rooms of the hotel. Manager gave us very bad, depressing apartments in different building. When I tried to complain Valentina started arguing with a very rude manner. After I told her I will complain she said: tomorrow I will give you good rooms. Next day she gave us really good rooms, actually that we ordered a few months in advance. Not a pleasant feeling to be cheated!

Clean and spacious Non existing reception staff, completely absent during night hours ( which is a 4*) requirement.
-
staffs kindness and willingness to drive us to the train station.

Receptionist was absolutely amazing. She spoke very gently and she did all she could to make us feel welcome. The rooms were lovely, clean with pleasant smell. The swimming pool was an additional point to the amazing service this hotel offered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Trevi is a nice town and this hotel could have been excellent when lifted to its full potential. And when you get what you actually booked. We did not get the room (junior suite) we booked. It did not had the properties in space and furniture that were advertised. It did not have the frescos as advertised. It was a very disappointing room. We did not get a room in the main building, but in a, less nice, secondary building. According to the hotel’s manager, when you book using booking.com you will never get a room in the main building, no matter which room you booked. For compensation we were offered a second room, which we accepted as it was high season and everting else in te region was already fully booked. Breakfast was limited but ok. Unfortunately no staff around, so difficult to get espresso or any other coffee. In the building the airconditioning did not function properly. After reporting this the next morning, the staff could only ‘reset’ the old rusty machine in the basement and then it would work again for a couple of hours. As a result, temperatures where close to 30 degrees in the rooms. One day on return we noticed a severe leakage in the bathroom. This could not be fixed immediately and we were transferred to another room. The hotel has tiny (bathtub size) swimming pool, nice enough for a refreshing dip (swimming is not possible). But it didn’t look very clean (lots of leaves in the water). It could use some maintenance as well. In the hallways there was a shattered window. It did not get fixed, pieces of broken glass were still in the window and on the windowsill.
