THEY WERE OVERBOOKED

First time that I saw a hotel room without a window. No elevator, isn’t easy to go to 5th floor with suitcases upstairs. The bathroom is smaller than airplanes lavatories. Toilet was clogged. Strong smell of product cleaning all over, not good for those who has stomach sensitive. I was charged a 18% VAT illegally to stay there as a foreign.

The view from our room was to the interior patio which was not as nice as a room with a view to the park in front.

It's OK Nothing really, it was what I paid for, a quiet and clean room in the city. The room was a bit too little.

Location is good, and the staff is very kind and helpful. The walls are very thin and you can hear a lot of noise even from the hotel staff.

A modern hotel in a quiet (for Latin America) and safe neighbourhood, about 15 minute walk to the center and with buses to Chan Chan/Huanchaco passing by. Comfy bed, good shower, great value for money. We reserved less than 24 hrs before arrival and received messages by WhatsApp asking to transfer the money for our stay asap by bank transfer - very odd and if you didn't speak Spanish well, you would have missed this entirely. They let us "pay on arrival as an exception", even though this is what the booking.com conditions state is the payment option. Breakfast was very basic and no variety. Floors in the room were pretty dirty, swept but not mopped - the soles of our flipflops and socks were black after a night!
