Manager and staff were very attentive. Traveling solo they made me feel very safe and kept an eye out for me. Definitely will come back.

Review of Moxy Tulum During my recent stay at Moxy Tulum, I found the experience to be a mixed bag. While there were some highlights, several issues significantly impacted my overall impression. Pros: - Friendly Staff: Alan, in particular, stood out for his exceptional service. He greeted us warmly and offered complimentary drinks, setting a positive tone for our arrival. Cons: - Amenities Issues: The jacuzzi was out of order, and the spa was closed without a clear reopening date, which was disappointing. Additionally, basic items like a kettle and fridge were not available in the rooms. - Room Confusion: Despite my reservation for a king-size room, I was initially given a room with a bunk bed, which was quite bizarre. The sink also had drainage problems, requiring maintenance to fix it. - Room Service Problems: After service, fresh towels weren't provided, necessitating a phone call to request them. - Bike Rentals: I was excited to explore Tulum on rented bikes, but they were terrible. The chains kept breaking, making it not worth the hassle. - Pool Access: The pool, located on the top floor, was only accessible through the gym, which felt inconvenient. - Room Lighting Issues: One of the most frustrating aspects was that the lights and AC wouldn't turn on when entering the room. I had to open and close the door multiple times for the sensors to work. - Staffing Shortages: It seemed the hotel was understaffed, leading to delayed responses to requests.

The building is new and modern with nice styling. The staff is nice. Bikes are good and available which is a big plus. The gym was nice, big and clean. The location is half way between the town and the national park with the nicest beaches. We were able to cycle to the beach each day which was great. They almost never cleaned our room during the week we were there even though we were out all day. I constantly had to ask them. They never replaced the drinking water in the bathroom even though you can’t use the tap water to brush your teeth. The food was not great and expensive. And service was pretty bad.
