Friendly staff but terrible wifi and kind of noisy even in the internal room.

I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was friendly when I checked in, and the room was very well appointed. There was a fridge, a desk and chairs, a large, comfortable bed, TV with cable and plenty of outlets. The only big negative was the cold shower. It had one of those electric water heaters at the spout, and it didn't really do the job. The room was cold, too, but I wouldn't want to pay double for a hotel with heating. I just crawled under the covers. The neighborhood kind of scared me when I arrived at night, but it turned out to be fine. The hotel is a few blocks from the main square. Those few blocks were busy with stalls and shoppers by day. The other direction seemed to be an ordinary working-class neighborhood, so, no I wouldn't go walking there, but I don't think it's especially dangerous. There was a festival on, so it was noisy at night, but that isn't the hotel's fault. The whole place was modern and anonymous, so don't come here if you're looking for colonial architecture.

Staff was awesome. Very clean. Close to Plaza Bolivar. Only hot water in the shower the first day. Second day the water was cold.
