Hotel Aroma del Bosque Posada Cafe

I liked everything! The convenient location, the colonial style architecture of the hotel, the cleanliness, and the amazing customer service. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Tunja. Having only one day to enjoy this amazing city and this cozy hotel.

Elegant old building, tranquil atmosphere, on quiet street, peaceful, hot water in shower, well maintained My room didn't have a window.

Perfect location. Only a 5 minute walk to the city center on a road just for pedestrians. Very close to 3 great supermarkets and lots of restaurants. Paola, the manager was so helpful and maintains a very clean place. The bed was the most comfortable that I've slept on in months. I highly recommend the Aroma del Bosque Hotel! Everything was fine!!!

It was quiet and comfortable. Within easy walking distance to the historic district. The breakfast was excellent. The hot water was difficult to adjust. The premises need to be freshened up a little bit.

I arrived not feeling well at all. The staff took exceptional measures to ensure my comfort.

We booked it just minutes before arrival at 10pm in the evening, since our originally booked accommodation did not honour our reservation. Therefor we had no expectations and just wanted a place to stay for the night. The host of this accommodation was super professional and even gave us a locked parking space close by. I assume at her private house. We had a good night of sleep, so our expectations were met. The bathroom does not have a window, therefor their are visible traces of humidity. The room itself had two milk glass windows which were not openable. Anyway the room had no signs of humidity and the smell was fine.

Paola the host was great. Very kind and helpful. Everything was fine.

Here I got the best coffee in Colombia so far! ? Very friendly and cute lady who made everything possible for me.

The hotel is in a quiet area of town (by a park) but walkable (10-15mins perhaps) from the main square and the restaurant areas. I came during Covid and the manager was very careful - even towels were plastic wrapped. The location is not as practical as it once was - because the long-distance bus terminal has moved (my guidebook and google maps both somewhat misleading) from close by to out of town. Not the hotel's fault (!) but it had been one reason for my choice. A small point, a tip rather than a negative - the hotel does not have an obvious fronttage / reception (you need to phone or ring the doorbell). The manager was always there and opened up but it was initially slightly confusing.

Location. Very nice, helpful owner. Quiet. Having to bother the owner - ringing the doorbell - each time I came back.
