A good hotel, near the beach

No hot water in shower or sink

Clean room, good location near the beach, friendly staffs. Quiet neighbourhood with good options of street vendors nearby. If you need a no-nonsense hotel just to rest at night, this hotel is a very good option. The hotel that was built in front of this hotel which blocks the beach view.

Ms. Thủy the manager and also the receptionist was very helpful as she prepared the room meeting our expectations, arranged motobike and recommended cool restaurants. Pest control for ants could be better.

In the evenings, it is very fun to go for a walk in the square near the hotel, where there are musical fountains. Everything is fine. Just don't book a room with a sea view. Wasted money. Complete disappointment. First of all, the sea is 400 meters away. Secondly, you won't see the sea. There is a creepy concrete monster hotel built in front of my hotel. Which stands completely empty (there are no people staying in it), but from behind it the sea is not visible.

We were here in winter time (January) and everything was fine: the hotel wasn't too crowded so no noise from others was to be heard. The wind was rattling a bit at the outside from the building in the 7th floor. Yes, the former stunning view is partially blocked now by the new hotel but you can see the sea anyhow. If you want more, you can always check in at the Wink-Hotel and pay the double. Or you go the 400m down to the beach by yourself to have a really good look ;) The room was clean and was looked after every day. A hot shower was available day and night, even if the warm water takes a bit of time till it arrives. The elevator worked good and noisiless. The AC worked, only the TV we didn't get started but we didn't bother the staff with that problem. (Maybe they could have helped) The staff was very nice, even if they don't speak English, they were very helpful in giving tipps for various places. The massage they recommended was very good, even if 20.000 dg more expensive than others round the corner, but it was really worth it. The same was for the driver to the airport (that is NOT free as they announce on their website!), but they called a trustworthy driver and even here we paid 80 Cent more than a Grabcar, but the man could drive and knew the way, which is not always what you get. All in all I can recommend the Aries hotel, if you are looking for sth. practical. It is nor super romantic nor specifically tasteful, but the location is good, not far from the center, nice coffee shops and restaurants round the corner and not too far from the beach. The hotel is not the most tasteful and most beautiful one, but it is really okay for that price.

Hallway was really noisy. Could here the elevator “ding” noise ever time someone used it. Also there was construction going on during my stay but that was not the hotels fault.

The room was big, clean and comfortable. There is a coffee shop next to the hotel. There are some good restaurants near the hotel. Could go to the beach in 5 mins. N/A
